Supply chain management. Modelling collaborative decision

Francisco-Cruz Lario Esteban; Angel Ortiz Bas; Raúl Poler Escoto; David Pérez Perales

This paper shows how enterprise engineering and integration (EEI) can help in the improvement of inter-enterprises business processes of established extended enterprise for supply chain, focusing in the modeling of collaborative decisional model. The study has been developed in the automotive sector, identifying the relationships between an automotive manufacturer (OEM, original equipment manufacturer) and its first-tier suppliers. To develop the study, we have considered the well-known EEI architectures such as CIMOSA and GRAI and particularly IE-GIP methodology (an extension of CIMOSA) and DAROMS methodology (an extension of GRAI).

Industry 4.0: A Classification Scheme

David Pérez Perales; Faustino Alarcón Valero; Andrés Boza García

One of the most novel concepts that has been applied to companies in recent years is “Industry 4.0”. This is a wide term that implies a drastic change in the way companies operate. This paper reviews some of its existing literature in order to give an accurate definition of such a concept. A classification scheme based in two main pillars, on one hand the features which characterize that term and on the other hand the technologies and concepts that support their development is also defined. All results are based on a structured literature review.

Towards a Sustainable Agri-food Supply Chain Model. The Case of LEAF

David Pérez Perales; Faustino Alarcón Valero; Caroline Drummond; Angel Ortiz

The Agri-food Supply Chain (ASC) has received increasing attention lately due to environmental and social impacts. This is likely to lead to tighter regulations and closer control of these supply chains, where the traditional ASC practices will be reviewed and changed. One of the key solutions may be the necessity of establishing procedures accounting for the sustainability of the whole ASC. This is directly related to the increasing presence of different ASC third parties offering this type of services. In this paper, different aspects about ASC sustainability are reviewed from the literature, with the aim of finding out which are the most addressed and remarkable ones. These ones will be used as a benchmark against an example of a real sustainable ASC management model implemented by the UK established company (LEAF-Linking Environment And Farming).

Modeling the Master Plan for Supply Chains with Lack of Homogeneity in the Products

Maria del Mar Eva Alemany Díaz; Llanos Cuenca; Angel Ortiz; David Pérez Perales

Master Planning of Supply Chains (SCs) with Lack of Homogeneity in the Products (LHP) strongly differs from other SCs. Although LHP affects SCs of different sectors, an absence of a common research body exists. In this paper, the characterization of LHP dimensions for Master Planning and their modeling is described. To validate the proposal an application to the fruit SC is presented.

Set-up Continuity in Tactical Planning of Semi-Continuous Industrial Processes

David Pérez Perales; Maria del Mar Eva Alemany Díaz; Francisco-Cruz Lario Esteban; V. S. Fuertes-Miquel

In most of production planning models developed in a hierarchical context at the tactical level setup changes are not explicitly considered. Its consideration includes decisions about the allocation and lot sizing of production, known as CLSLP problem. However the CLSLP problem does not account for set-up continuity, specially relevant in contexts with lengthy set-ups and where product families minimum run length are almost are similar to planning periods. In this work, a MILP model which accounts for this set-up continuity inclusion is modelled, solved and validated over a simplified real-case example.
