Unxiini trib. nov. is proposed to include the following genera up to now in Compsocerini Thomson, 1864: Chariergus White, 1855, Chenoderus Fairmaire & Germain, 1859, Unxia Thomson, 1860, Ethemon Thomson, 1864, Paromoeocerus Gounelle, 1910, Rierguscha Viana, 1970, Parunxia Napp, 1977 and Allopeba Napp & Reynaud, 1999, whose females present a brush on the seventh abdominal tergite used as oviposition strategy. In Cerambycidae, this kind of brush is exclusive to Unxiini. Keys to genera and species are provided and all the species are illustrated.

Rhopalophorini is primarily a New World group. Of the 23 known genera, 19 were described from the Neotropical region. A cladistic analysis of the American genera was carried out with 91 morphological characters. The genera Ozodes Audinet-Serville and Lissozodes Bates, recently transferred to Necydalopsini, were included in the analysis in order to investigate their relationships with the Rhopalophorini. The results suggested that their shared similarities with the Rhopalophorini are symplesiomorphies at the level considered in the analysis, so they are maintained in Necydalopsini, and Neozodes Zajciw, indicated as the sister group of Ozodes, is herein transferred to this tribe. In the same way, Elaphopsis Audinet-Serville is transferred to Ibidionini. Rhopalophorini, as defined in the present work, is a monophyletic group and includes 17 American genera. Within Rhopalophorini, Argyrodines + Parozodes constitute the basalmost group, and Cycnoderus is the sister group of the two major clades formed, one by Ischionodonta, Disaulax, Cosmisoma, Closteropus and Gurubira, and the other, by Rhopalophora, Coremia, Merocoremia, Dirocoremia, Thalusia and Lathusia; the relationships of Rhopalophorella, Rhopalina and Muxbalia remain inconclusive. A phylogenetic classification of Rhopalophorini at the genus level is proposed.

The genus Eupempelus Bates, 1870 is revised and its taxonomic position altered in transferring from Cleomenini Lacordaire, 1869 to Heteropsini Lacordaire, 1869. The genus and the type species, Eupempelus olivaceus Bates, 1870, are redescribed and two new species added: Eupempelus illuminus sp. n., from Bolivia and E. spinithorax sp. n., from Ecuador. All the species are illustrated and keyed.

Abstract The genus Haenkea Tippmann and its three species, H. zischkai Tippmann (type species), H. thoracica (Chevrolat), and H. atra (Chevrolat), new combination, are revised. All the taxa are redescribed and illustrated. New data on geographical distribution and a key for species are also provided.

Abstract Mimonneticus, new genus, type species M. guianae, new species; and Exallancyla, new genus, type species E. tuberculicollis (Aurivillius), new combination; are described from South America. Ancylocerina Thomson is redescribed and a key for the South American genera is added.

A new genus, Timabiara, and a new species, T. bahiensis, are described from Brazil (Bahia). The Cleomenini key for neotropical genera presented by Napp & Mermudes (2001) is herein modified in order to include this new genus.

Abstract The genus Listroptera Audinet-Serville (type species Callidium tenebrosum Fabricius) is revised and the following species redescribed: L. tenebricosa (Olivier) and L. carbonaria Chevrolat. Aguassay, new genus, is described based on Cerambyx collaris Klug, up to now belonging to Listroptera. Aguassay collaris (Klug), new combination, is redescribed and its geographical distribution widened. A key to recognize the neotropical genera Dihammaphora Chevrolat, Haenkea Tippmann, Listroptera Audinet-Serville and Aguassay, all of which form a homogeneous group within the tribe Cleomenini, is also included.

The species of Dihammaphora with 11 antennal segments are revised. Seven are redescribed and four are described as new: Dihammaphora falsa sp. nov (Brazil: São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina; Paraguay: Alto Parana) and Dihammaphora uncinata sp. nov. (Brazil: Minas Gerais, São Paulo), both are characterized by having a unciform projection on each procoxa and the anterior margin of prosternum projected at the middle; the former is differentiated by the all black integumental colour, while the latter has a reddish prothorax with a large black pronotal area. Dihammaphora brasileira sp. nov. (Brazil: Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo) has an orange head and prothorax, and complete elytral dorsal costae; Dihammaphora mineira sp. nov. (Brazil: Minas Gerais) has a black integument with reddish prothorax, a densely clothed elytra with olivaceous pubescence and complete dorsal costae. All the species are illustrated and keyed. A redescription of the genus, based on the species with 11-segmented antennae, is provided.
