We present a study of the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) for the quarks in a proton in both momentum and position spaces using the light-front wave functions (LFWFs) of a quark–diquark model for the nucleon predicted by the soft-wall model of AdS/QCD. The results are compared with the soft-wall AdS/QCD model of proton GPDs for zero skewness. We also calculate the GPDs for nonzero skewness. We observe that the GPDs have a diffraction pattern in longitudinal position space, as seen before in other models. Then we present a comparative study of the nucleon charge and anomalous magnetization densities in the transverse plane. Flavor decompositions of the form factors and transverse densities are also discussed.

Using the light front wave functions for the nucleons in a quark model in AdS/QCD, we calculate the nucleon electromagnetic form factors. The flavor decompositions of the nucleon form factors are calculated from the GPDs in this model. We show that the nucleon form factors and their flavor decompositions calculated in AdS/QCD are in agreement with experimental data.

quarks in a light-front quark-diquark model of a proton to unravel the spatial and spin structure. The light-front wave functions are modeled from the soft-wall AdS/QCD prediction. We consider the contributions from both the scalar and the axial vector diquarks. The Wigner distributions for unpolarized, longitudinally polarized, and transversely polarized protons are presented in the transverse momentum plane as well as in the transverse impact parameter plane. The Wigner distributions satisfy a Soffer-bound-type inequality. We also evaluate all the leading twist GTMDs and show their scale evolution. The spin-spin correlations between the quark and the proton are investigated
