We examine stakeholder relationship management (xRM) of public service broadcasters. The readiness and expected benefits of xRM implementation are studied.Focus is on xRM channels: web portal, social media, interactive TV.Results show a huge potential for improvement of public broadcasters xRM. This paper examines the possibilities of enhancing relationship management between public service broadcasters and their stakeholders by harnessing the potential of newest e-business technologies and concepts, such as: social media, digital and interactive TV, and mobile computing. In order to facilitate adoption of relationship management strategy, a framework for leveraging relationship management is proposed. Evaluation was performed within the e-business system of a public broadcaster. This empirical study explored the readiness and expected benefits of relationship management implementation. The research results have indicated that a public broadcaster could achieve a higher level of social responsibility, improve business sustainability, and empower communication and collaboration with all the stakeholders by using emerging technologies for relationship management activities.

In this paper we present an approach to developing web portal for adaptive e-learning. Educational web portal is single access point to all relevant information, resources and applications in the education process. Web portal integrates different functionalities and services for adaptation of e-learning courses with existing learning management system Moodle. Integration includes: educational web portal users, information, processes and software platforms used in e-learning system. We describe architecture of the portal for adaptive e-learning, technologies, design and techniques applied in implementation of portals key components.

Purpose This paper aims to discuss relationship management in business-to-business (B2B) ecosystem of electronic media. The goal of this research is twofold. First, the goal is to understand and model the impact of customer relationship management technology adoption on B2B relationships. Second, the authors investigated how trends in e-business and partner relationship management (PRM) affect partner relationship quality in public broadcasting. Design/methodology/approach This study deals with the impact that relationship capability, relationship fulfillment, operational PRM, analytical PRM, social PRM and readiness to adopt new e-business models produce on relationship quality of a public broadcaster. The research was conducted on a testing sample of 78 participants. All the participants were representatives of the Serbian public broadcaster’s business partners. Findings Results revealed that relationship capability, analytical and social PRM have a significant impact on relationship quality. In addition to this, the survey suggested that activities such as organizing social events, developing new services, personalization and tailoring of services could improve PRM outcomes. Practical implications The results aim to help practitioners to enhance their relationships with stakeholders and maximize the total outcomes of those relationships. Specifically, managers and practitioners doing business in the field of electronic media could benefit from the presented results. Originality/value Significance of the paper is reflected in the fact that it analyzes innovative concepts and technologies. Conclusions and recommendations put forward in the paper could serve as a good basis and framework for other public broadcasters, particularly for those from the developing countries.

Abstract This paper proposes a new web-based environment for learning discrete simulation. FONWebGPSS is an application that provides a web-based interface for creating, storing and executing discrete system simulation models in the GPSS language. The primary goal of the paper is to improve the process of learning simulation by integration of the FONWebGPSS in the existing e-learning system, Moodle. Evaluation of the developed integrated solution for learning simulation has been performed within an undergraduate course, Simulation and simulation languages, at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade on a testing sample of 208 students divided into an experimental and a control groups. The research results show that students achieve better results on the final test when using the FONWebGPSS application integrated into the e-learning system in comparison with the standard desktop version of the GPSS.

ABSTRACT This paper proposes and evaluates a model of crowdsourcing in microlearning that includes the balancing of collaborative learning and crowdsourcing mechanisms. The goal of the research is to implement a learner-centered approach through crowdsourced content creation and to improve the process and outcomes of learning. Crowdsourced content creation was accomplished through a collaborative project within a higher education institution. Micro-courses in the form of short video lessons were created by students and published on the Coursmos platform and a certain group of students attended these micro-courses. The evaluation was carried out at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, the University of Belgrade on a sample of 71 students who created micro-courses and 74 students who attended these micro-courses. The results show that the developed model provides simple communication and collaboration among students, high level of their self-organization and satisfaction, efficient management of crowdsourcing network and collaborative knowledge building.

GPSS for e-learning environment

Marijana Despotović; Božidar Radenković; Dušan Barać

The main issue in this paper is an implementation of GPSS (general purpose simulation system) for learning discrete event simulation in e-learning environment. Primary goal of the research is to develop interactive and user-friendly for creating, testing and analyzing discrete event system models and integrate it in existing e-learning system. We propose a new solution for learning simulation via Web - FONWebGPSS. Architecture and key concepts of FONWebGPSS application are described in the paper. In addition, we present an example of applying FONWebGPSS in solving a typical problem of discrete event simulation.

The subject of this paper is social network analysis and its possible application in the field of culture. The main goal is to investigate the potentials of social network analysis for detecting user profiles and preferences regarding the certain types of cultural events. Data was collected through a mobile application and a survey. The results were analyzed using Ucinet and Vosviewer tools. The results reveal three clusters of events, as well as the most influential users and their preferences towards certain types of cultural events. The obtained results can be used to define future marketing activities, such as customization of offers regarding the identified users’ preferences.

High-pressure optical studies on R-line fluorescence lifetime in Al2O3:V2+

B.R. Jovanić; Božidar Radenković; Marijana Despotović-Zrakić; Zorica Bogdanović; Dušan Barać

ABSTRACT The effect of high hydrostatic pressure (up to 10.3 GPa) at room temperature on fluorescence lifetime τ for R line (2E→4A2 transition) in ruby Al2O3:V2+ was studied. The performed studies show the linear increase of τ with increasing pressure. At 10.3 GPa, τ is about 1.36 times higher than at ambient pressure. The obtained trend was explained by a model which considered the effect of pressure on τ through an induced change of line position, inter-ionic distance, compressibility, and molecular polarizability. A good agreement between the calculated and experimental values for τ was obtained.

Smart healthcare is an emerging concept that relies on the synergy of various engineering concepts and intelligent technical innovations applicable to healthcare. Demand for smart healthcare engineers is anticipated to grow, hence, arising a need to educate profile engineers. The goal of this paper is to introduce an approach to designing a course for smart healthcare engineering education. Through the key topics of the course, students acquired new skills and knowledge from emerging technologies underlying smart healthcare. The proposed approach was evaluated at a graduate course at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade. The results indicate that there was a positive impact on the learning process as well as a positive learning experience.
