Change on storage of biological activity of Viburnum opulus seed components

Data for changes on storage under natural conditions for 11 months of moisture, oil content, acid and hydroperoxide number, and protein content of ground seed of Viburnum opulus were reported. The amino-acid and fatty-acid compositions were determined.

Fluorescence of the diterpenoid alkaloids lappaconitine andN-deacetyllappaconitine in acetonitrile

The absorption, excitation, and fluorescence spectra of the diterpenoid alkaloids, lappaconitine andN-deacetyllappaconitine, in acetonitrile were studied. On the basis of the coincidence of the spectra with the analogous spectra of model compounds, methyl esters of anthranilic andN-acetylanthranilic acids, the conclusion was drawn that the—OOC(Ph)NRH groups are fluorochromes in the alkaloids studied. The high quantum yield of fluorescence and the bathofluoric shift in the luminescence and absorption spectra ofN-deacetyllappaconitine were explained by an increase in the electron-releasing ability of the —NRH group in the deacetylation of lappaconitine.

A new alkaloid, anhydrolycaconitine (C36H46N2O9), was isolated from roots ofAconitum septentrionale K. Based on the results of1H and13C NMR and IR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry of the alkaloid and the product of its alkaline hydrolysis and on the data of X-ray diffraction analysis of the hydrolysis product, the structure of 1α, 6β, 14α, 16β-tetramethoxy-7-oxo-18-succinylanthranoyloxy-17-(7→8)abeo-aconane was assigned to anhydrolycaconitine.

Uraphine, a new norditerpene alkaloid from the aerial part of Delphinium uralense

The new norditerpene alkaloid uraphine, for which the structure 1α,6β-dihydroxy-7,8-methylenedioxy-14α,16β,18β-trimethoxy-N-ethylaconitane was proposed based on PMR, 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectral data, was isolated from the aerial part of Delphinium uralense N. The known alkaloids dehydrodelcorine, delpheline, deltaline, deltamine, elasine, deacetylelasine, gigactonine, and lycoctonine were also isolated from the total alkaloids.

The structures 16β-hydroxy-7,8-methylenedioxy-6-oxo-1α,14α,18-trimethoxy-N-ethylaconitane and 6β,16β-dihydroxy-7,8-methylenedioxy-1 α,14 α,18-trimethoxy-N-ethylaconitane were proposed based on PMR, 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectra.

Alpinine, A New Norditerpene Alkaloid from Delphinium alpinum

The known alkaloids deltaline, methyllycaconitine, elasine, and the new norditerpene alkaloid alpinine were isolated from the aerial part of Delphinium alpinum. The structure of the last was proposed as 1α,6β, 16β-trimethoxy-7-hydroxy-8-ethoxy-14α-propionyloxy-4β-(2″-methyl)succinylanthranoyloxymethyl-N-ethylaconitane on the basis of PMR, 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectra.

Norditerpene alkaloids from Delphinium cuneatum

A mixture of two new norditerpene alkaloids consisting of two regioisomers was isolated from the total alkaloids of Delphinium cuneatum roots. Their structures were proposed as 16-demethoxydelavaine (2a and b) on the basis of PMR, 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectra.

Uraline, a new norditerpenoid alkaloid, was isolated from aerial parts of Delphinium uralense. The structure of 1α,7,8-trihydroxy-6β,14α,16β-trimethoxy-18-N-(2-methyl)succinylanthranoyloxyaconane was ascribed to the new compound on the basis of 1H and 13C NMR, IR, and mass spectra. The known alkaloids methyllycaconitine and delcorine were also isolated from the plant.
