Indicators world class in vehicles for tourism

The increasingly sophisticated facilities and equipment necessary to carry out and assist in an essential way our daily work has led to pay greater attention to their operating conditions. The restoration of the operating parameters and the lengthening of the work periods under required performance, to guarantee the availability of the machinery, are essential for both industrial and service companies, all of which requires proper maintenance management. In the present work, an analysis was made to the maintenance system applied in tourism transport vehicles by the company through the calculation of world class indicators. The same allowed from the application of a methodology, redesign and improve the maintenance system of the entity, which allowed to reduce the burden of maintenance work without affecting the availability of equipment, maintaining reliability in the process of exploitation of the same.

Analysis of maintenance indicators in a public transport company in the city of Manaus

Maintenance activity occupies a privileged place in the development of any carrier in the world and is considered as a key sector for its direct impact on obtaining productive results. Under current conditions, the need to reduce operating costs and increase productivity of transportation to achieve returns in line with current requirements is evident. However, there always has the right to provide maintenance management companies information quantitatively and qualitatively adequate to measure and indicate which of the maintenance actions are accomplished and what actions should be taken to improve such operations Tool that the maintenance work is achieved effectively. In this paper an experience developed in a company of public transport in the city of Manaus where applied indicators that tend just are provide information to management in the maintenance area for timely decision making and the results of the calculations are shown exposed some of the indicators. The analysis carried out shows the strategic importance of the use of these indices to ensure efficient and effective maintenance that allows reducing maintenance costs is in turn increase productivity.

Corrective maintenance unplanned urban transport vehicles in the city of Manaus and its impact on costs

Maintaining occupies a special place in the development of any carrier in the world and therefore is considered as a key sector. Under current conditions in which it is increasingly clear the need to reduce operating costs and maximize the performance of transportation, maintenance work can just improve such conditions. However, to be considered as an effective area which can ensure the efficiency requirements of the industry is important that this work using indicators to measure and evaluate the maintenance process. In this work the experience gained in a transport company bus in the city of Manaus, where he was made an analysis o f the maintenance process in vehicles of urban public transport in the city of Manaus in an undertaking of great size by presents the assessment indicators failure rate and maintenance costs for engine, transmission and propeller bridge model VW bus 17 230 E OD, being the most used in the entity. The results show that it is these items the greater frequency of failures and therefore causing a substantial increase in maintenance costs and that corrective actions even solve the faults are not the most appropriate for the current conditions where efficiency is the watchword.
