Eduard Jendek; Oto Nakládal

The newly defined Agrilus wittemani species-group comprising six species from South and Southeast Asia is revised based on the examination of type specimens. A key to species is provided and complemented with illustrations of habitus and genitalia. Revision of the Agrilus humilis species-group (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Agrilini) with description of thirteen new species from Southeastern Asia

Eduard Jendek

The newly defined Agrilus humilis species-group comprising twenty taxa of Indo-Malayan and Australasian region is revised based on the examination of type specimens. The taxonomic concept and distribution of all known species is critically revised for the first time since they were described. The complete commented bibliographic data are given for each name. The key to species is provided and complemented with illustration of habitus and genitalia. Images of all primary types are also included. The following thirteen new species are described: Agrilus aruensis sp. nov.; A.xa0ateles sp. nov.; A.xa0bicoloripennis sp. nov.; A.xa0chloros sp. nov.; A.xa0duffelsorum sp. nov.; A.xa0ecalcaratus sp. nov.; A.xa0incrassatus sp. nov.; A.xa0korbicola sp. nov.; A.xa0oidema sp. nov.; A.xa0sphenopterus sp. nov.; A.xa0suturistriatus sp. nov.; A.xa0thailandicus sp. nov. and A.xa0vogti sp. nov.

Abstract. The East Asian buprestid Agrilus smaragdifrons Ganglbauer is reported for the first time in the Western Hemisphere. Specimens of this species taken from emerald ash borer (A. planipennis Fairmaire) monitoring traps in New Jersey in 2015–2016 suggest establishment of this metallic wood-boring beetle in the northeastern United States. The earliest known record of A. smaragdifrons in the U.S. is based on a verifiable image found on BugGuide, from a specimen collected in Hudson County, New Jersey in June 2011. Diagnostic information and high-resolution images of the adult male, female, and the male aedeagus are provided to help facilitate the recognition of this adventive buprestid from other North American Agrilus. A summary of information about the host plant (Ailanthus altissima), native distribution, and biology are given, and all known North American records are listed and mapped.

Revision of the Agrilus quadripunctatus species-group (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Agrilini) with description of four new species

Eduard Jendek

The newly defined Agrilus quadripunctatus species-group comprising nine species from Indo-Malay and Australasian regions is revised. A key to species is provided and complemented with illustrations of habitus. The following four new species are described: Agrilus calabai sp. nov.; A. jaechi sp. nov.; A. luzonicola sp. nov.; A. salakot sp. nov.

Revision of the Agrilus gratiosus species-group (Coleoptera, Buprestidae, Agrilinae)

Eduard Jendek

The newly defined Agrilus gratiosus species-group comprising ten species from the Oriental region is revised. A key to species is provided and complemented with illustrations of habitus, genitalia and type specimens. The following seven new species are described: Agrilus cultus sp. nov. (Laos); A. oudomxai sp. nov. (Laos); A. pergratus sp. nov. (Malaysia); A. pluridens sp. nov. (Laos, Thailand); A. pubinotus sp. nov. (Indonesia: Sumba Island); A. siberuticola sp. nov. (Indonesia: Siberut Island) and A. signipes sp. nov. (Vietnam). Agrilus makiharai Tôyama, 1987 is considered conspecific with A. bacchus Kerremans, 1913 and therefore the name makiharai syn. nov. is a junior subjective synonym of the name bacchus.
