are always seeking to become more intelligent and achieve a greater competitive advantage by using Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The new phenomenon of business intelligence is how businesses handle data. One of the instruments that can make the BI tools more accessible is Cloud Computing. This paper outlines some important definitions of Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence, the importance of business intelligence and some problems in traditional business intelligence solutions. Also, the benefits and challenges of Cloud Business Intelligence is discussed with a comparison between public and private cloud and how to choose the appropriate Cloud Business Intelligence for an organization.

Comparative study of clustering medical images

Due to the fast growing of the images data repositories, there is a big challenge to organize these repositories and make them easy to search and mine to get knowledge. Image clustering goal is to link each image in an image database with a class label, so similar images are grouped and have the same class label and which are different from other images in a database. Image clustering organize image repositories to groups or clusters and this is a basic step in many applications as content based image retrieval (CBIR), image classification, powerful search engines, browsing images and segmentation of images. In this paper, we proposed two new methods for clustering medical images. The two proposed methods are implemented, tested on medical images data set and the results obtained from the two proposed methods are compared. In the first proposed method, GLCM and Haralicks statistical measures are used for extracting texture features from the images and k-means clustering is applied to cluster the extracted feature vectors. In the second proposed method, 2D wavelet transform is used to extract features from the images, feature selection is applied and finally, K-means clustering algorithm is applied to cluster feature vectors.

Semantic annotation for news feeds

Annotation is the process of adding semantic metadata to resources so that data becomes more meaningful. Creating additional metadata by document annotation is considered one of the main techniques that make machines understand and deal with data on the web. Our paper presents a semantic framework that annotates RSS News Feeds. Semantic Annotation for News Feeds Frameworks (SANF) aims to enrich web content by using semantic metadata easily which facilitates searching and adding of web content.

A step towards the linking of the Culture Heritage in the Egyptian museums

Although Culture Heritage is considered one of the domains that attract researchers from different disciplines, however, there is a lack of semantic meaning and interoperability between different heterogeneous sources that have different structures, stored in different formats and placed in different geographical locations. In addition to that, most of the datasets are available in spreadsheet format. The paper on hands aims to improve the semantic mapping of different datasets belonging to the Egyptian museums via proposing and implementing an architecture that enriches these datasets via applying of Linked Open Data techniques depending on two different mapping methodologies; they are CIDOC-CRM and R2RML, showing that they giving better results instead of using each one separately.
