Analisis bibliométrico de burnout y optimismo en deporte

Bibliometric studies are of paramount importance in the context of the evaluation of scientific content. At the same time, are useful in allowing a detailed approach and analyzed the data provided on a particular subject area. This study presents a review of published scientific work, until 2011, and optimism on burnout in sports to know the status of the issue of these variables. The search was performed through electronic databases, PsycINFO and SCOPUS. After selecting the documents, information obtained through reading was collected in a matrix creating a database that included relevant data. Finally, we analyzed the most relevant information: number of published articles, authors involved in each of the work, geographical distribution, research, publication type, journals, methods, variables and instruments used. The study results confirm the increase of works about burnout and optimism as constructs within psychology research in physical activity and sport.

Prevalencia de burnout a través de dos medidas y su relación con variables sociodeportivas

This study aims to investigate the prevalence of burnout syndrome in athletes and their relation with different social and sporting variables. They have implemented the two instruments available in Spain for measuring burnout in athletes: IBD-R and the Spanish version of ABQ in a sample of 646 athletes with an average age of 19.73 years. The results show a prevalence of 4.2% for IBD-R and 3.3% for the ABQ and statistically significant differences for sex, presenting the smaller male self-fulfillment than women; and competitive, presenting higher prevalence levels overall and subscale physical/emotional exhaustion at the national level as home. These data are similar to those found in previous investigations, both prevalence and differences according social and sporting variables. Edorexia y deporte. Una concepción acerca de la obesidad y la adicción a la comida

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la dieta hipocalorica y el deporte en el tratamiento de la obesidad y sus componentes como la adiccion a la comida. El deporte es una de las herramientas mas utilizadas para tratar enfermedades como la obesidad. Sin embargo, los ultimos avances en la Psicologia concluyen como la obesidad oculta un problema de control de impulsos relacionado con el apetito. En este estudio se deduce como la dieta hipocalorica y el deporte tiene efectos secundarios y no tratan el problema oculto de la obesidad. Ademas, los deportistas, entre otros colectivos, pueden emplear estas herramientas para impedir que se manifieste la obesidad y sus componentes como la adiccion a la comida, reforzando las conductas y los pensamientos de riesgo y provocando un empeoramiento del problema
