Abstract Six species of the genus Stethantyx Townes are found to occur in Mexico. One species, S. mexicana sp. n., is described as new, and four recently described Neotropical species, S. alajuela Khalaim & Broad, S. heredia Khalaim & Broad, S. osa Khalaim & Broad and S. sanjosea Khalaim & Broad, are new records from Mexico. A key to species of Stethantyx occurring in Mexico is provided.

Abstract A new species, Encarsia citricola sp. n., reared from Trialeurodes floridensis (Quaintance) collected in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico, is described and illustrated. A review and a key to 9 parasitoid species attacking T. floridensis are provided. In addition, 4 species of chalcidoid wasps are recorded for the first time as parasitoids of T. floridensis in the New World.

Abstract Coccophagus funiculatus Myartseva sp. nov. (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae), reared from the soft scale genus Toumeyella (Hemiptera: Coccidae), is described, and the aphelinid species associated with Toumeyella species in the New World are discussed and compared.

Resumen. Se reportan cuatro especies de moscas Tachinidae parasitoides del gusano cogollero en maíz: Lespesia aletiae (Riley), L. archippivora (Riley), Winthemia deilephilae (Osten Sacken), y Archytas marmoratus (Townsend), atacando de forma natural a dicha plaga. Winthemia deilephilae es un nuevo registro en México como parasitoide de Spodoptera frugiperda y las cuatro especies son nuevos registros para el Estado de Durango.

Resumen. Se identificaron los parasitoides y el grado de parasitismo del gusano barrenador de la nuez (GBN), Acrobasis nuxvorella Neunzig, en huertas de nogal pecanero de la Comarca Lagunera (zona que comprende parte de Coahuila y Durango, México). El parasitismo en huevos varió del 0 al 13% y en larvas del 17.2 al 18.5%. Los parasitoides de huevos del GBN pertenecieron al género Trichogramma. Los parasitoides pertenecen a dos órdenes, seis familias, 12 géneros y 12 especies, parasitando larvas, principalmente, y pupas de A. nuxvorella. Orden Hymenoptera: Apanteles epinotiae Viereck y Macrocentrus instabilis Muesebeck (Braconidae), Goniozus ca nephantidis Muesebeck (Bethylidae), Venturia macilenta nitida Wahl y Eiphosoma vitticolle Cresson (Ichneumonidae), Bugacia sp. (Pteromalidae) y Doliopria sp. (Diapriidae). Orden Diptera: Athrycia sp., Archytas sp., Uclecya sp., Jurinia sp.1 y Jurinia sp.2 (Tachinidae). Los parasitoides de larvas y pupas más abundantes fueron A. epinotiae (24.6%), G. ca nephantidis (14.8%), M. instabilis (11.5%), y Archytas sp. (11.5%). Todas las especies y géneros de parasitoides del GBN encontrados constituyen nuevos registros en México, excepto M. instabilis.

espanolSe describe la estructura de las comunidades de Ichneumonidae en un area de manglar y 2 localidades cercanas con diferentes tipos de vegetacion. El area de estudio esta ubicada en los limites de las regiones Neartica y Neotropical en sur del estado de Tamaulipas, Mexico. Las muestras se recolectaron con una trampa Malaise en cada sitio durante 1 ano. La riqueza potencial de especies se determino con el modelo de Clench, los indices de diversidad de Simpson y Shannon-Wiener, asi como las posibles diferencias entre las comunidades con el analisis multivariado de Permanova. Los grados relativos de influencia de las variables espaciales, de tiempo y de distribucion biogeografica en las estructuras comunitarias se determinaron mediante analisis de correspondencia multiple. Los datos mostraron que el area de manglar tiene la mayor riqueza potencial de especies y que hubo diferencias significativas entre las 3 comunidades de ichneumonidos. Las estructuras comunitarias dependen de la distribucion biogeografica de las especies y del mes de recolecta, mientras que las estructuras poco dependientes, del tipo de vegetacion. Tres especies obtenidas en este estudio representan nuevos registros para Mexico y 5 para el estado de Tamaulipas. EnglishThe structure of Ichneumonidae communities in a mangrove area and 2 nearby locations with different vegetation types are described. The study area is located within the limits of the Nearctic and Neotropical regions in the southern part of the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. Samples were collected with a Malaise trap at each site over a one-year period. We estimated the potential species richness with the Clench model, the Simpson and Shannon-Wiener diversity indexes and the possible differences among communities at different sites using Permanova multivariate analysis. The relative degrees of influence of space, time, and biogeographical distribution on the community structures of ichneumonid wasps were determined using multiple correspondence analyses. Our results showed that the mangrove area had the highest potential species richness, and that there were significant differences among the 3 ichneumonid communities. The community structures depend primarily on the biogeographical distribution of species and secondarily on the month of collection, whereas the type of vegetation contributed with lower variation. Three species obtained in this study are new records for Mexico, and 5 for Tamaulipas.

Abstract. Encarsia fernandae Sánchez & Myartseva, sp. nov., parasitoid of the whitefly Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin, 2004, collected on Persea americana Mill. in Puebla, Mexico is described. A key for the identification for females of the genus Encarsia (noyesi group) of Mexico was prepared. A new junior synonym for Encarsia noyesi (Hayat) (=Encarsia narroi Gómez y García) was proposed.

Two new species of the tryphonine genus Exenterus from Mexico, E. durangensis Khalaim & Ruíz-Cancino, sp. nov. and E. sehuerachicus Khalaim & Ruíz-Cancino, sp. nov., are described. Both species belong to the group of Exenterus species characterized by the unusually short, depressed tarsi. Exenterus durangensis was reared from the sawfly Zadiprion falsus Smith and E. sehuerachicus from Neodiprion autumnalis Smith (Hymenoptera: Diprionidae). This is the first record of the genus Exenterus as a parasitoid of these hosts. An identification key to separate the two Mexican species of Exenterus is provided.

Abstract A list of parasitoids of the genus Coccophagus Westwood that parasitize the soft scale Parasaissetia nigra (Nietner), in the world, is given. Data on the biology of P. nigra in Mexico are presented. A key to species of Coccophagus associated to P. nigra in Mexico, including possible species of parasitoids, was prepared. A new species, Coccophagus minor Myartseva sp. nov., reared from P. nigra on mistletoe, Phoradendron quadrangulare (Kunth) Griseb., growing over leaves and shoots of huisache, Acacia farnesiana (L.) Willd., in Tamaulipas, Mexico, is described.
