Estudio bibliométrico y de calidad de la Revista Complutense de Educación (1990-2007)

This article aims to present a bibliometric study of Revista Complutense de Educacion through its 17 years of life . The main target is to evaluate the production of articles that will allow us to know the number of papers per year, author, author typology (individual or collective), sex, geographic origin of the authors (countries or autonomous regions), institutional affiliation of the authors, number of signatures in the different articles and, finally, analyze the subjects using the different keywords given by the authors. We have also included an analysis of other kind of contributions such as book reviews, different notes, miscellany, information and congresses summaries, seminars, exhibitions and doctoral curricula.

Los primeros pasos de la protección social a los ciegos en España: función y alcance de las instituciones socioeducativas públicas antes de la creación de la O.N.C.E.

The article shows the beginning of the social public assistance to the blind people in Spain and the later repercussion that this assistance had within the collective in the social aspect as much as in the educative. The steps taken by different institutions to receive blind people and the way in which their instruction was guided is also presented. It is mainly an statistical study that describes the reach of the social educational attention to blind people collective since the appearance of the first schools up to the creation of the National Organization for the blind people in Spain in December 1938 (ONCE).

El perfil sociodemográfico del lector de libros en España (1975-2010)

The aim of this article is to define the socio-demographic features of the Spanish books readers’ and their changes from 1975 to 2010. Sufficiently resolved the problem of sources heterogeneity for a wide part of the period, the time series of books readers’ rates is defined and statistically modeled. The books readers’ rate longitudinal analysis by means of their socio-demographic features segmentation shows that typical profile of books reader in Spain has suffered a small structural variation, being the most notorious change that one related with the sex: whereas the profile of books reader in the beginning of the observed period was defined by a young man, student and graduated, nowadays it’s a woman with the same features.

Estudio bibliométrico y de calidad de la revista Cuadernos de Trabajo Social (1987-2008)

A traves de este estudio bibliometrico y de calidad de Cuadernos de Trabajo Social se pretende mostrar como ha sido la trayectoria de la revista en sus 21 anos de vida. Se muestra cual ha sido la produccion por anos, por autor, por tipologia de autor (personal y corporativo), por sexo, por la procedencia geografica de los autores (paises), por afiliacion institucional de los mismos y por el numero de firmantes de los articulos, y se analiza tambien la tematica de los trabajos publicados a traves de las palabras clave propuestas por sus autores. Asimismo, se da cuenta de otras contribuciones como resenas, presentaciones y notas. Finalmente, se analiza la difusion y relevancia de la revista mediante los indicadores de impacto de la misma en el ambito de las publicaciones de su area cientifica. Se concluye con algunas recomendaciones para optimizar la revista.

Políticas de información y discapacidad: Nuevos retos para la integración

Balance y analisis de las Jornadas Academicas que bajo el titulo: «Politicas de Informacion y Discapacidad: nuevos retos para la integracion», se celebraron en la sede de la Escuela Universitaria de Biblioteconomia y Documentacion de la UCM durante los dias 9 y 10 de marzo de 2006. En este articulo se analizan las distintas intervenciones de los profesionales asistentes a las Jornadas y se da noticia de los datos mas relevantes extraidos de las mesas redondas y coloquios. Por ultimo se hace un balance de los dos dias de trabajo y se invita a los lectores a reflexionar sobre este particular en la universidad espanola y en la vida cotidiana.

Estudio documental del Colegio Nacional de Sordomudos y Ciegos de Madrid como ejemplo de institucion que, junto con la ensenanza primaria y de oficios que daba a su alumnado, ofrecio tambien la ensenanza musical al grupo invidente.
