Assessing E-service Quality of Digital Libraries

In this study the need for new service qualify assessment scale is investigated to cope with the paradigm change in library information service and the dimension and model for e-service quality assessment applicable to a digital library are developed. In order to verify newly proposed dimension and model for e-service qualify assessment, the dimension which is developed by employing data collected from NDSL(National Digital Science Library) and its factor are analyzed and casuality analysis between independent and dependent variables is executed based on the proposed e-service qualify model We also analyze the gap between customer`s ideal expectation and perception and, finally investigate what is the most important dimension among e-service quality in the digital library from the customer`s point of view.

Future Directions on Digital Information Services of Academic Library

Academic libraries are at a turning point. Historically academic libraries were the natural destination for students, faculty, and researchers seeking information. These users came to the library by default. Academic libraries served as the repository for published information as well as the intermediary for acquiring material from the outside world. In this study, suggested are directions of academic library websites construction and current techniques related library 2.0 that could be applied digital information system of academic libraries. And discussed the recent status, problems and future directions of scholarly information service through websites supporting lecture and research prefect activities for faculties in Korean university libraries.

The Modeling of Scholarly Information Services in Order to Support Lecture and Research Activities for Faculties-Based Web 2.0 in Korea University Libraries

This research aims to analyze the recent status and problems of scholarly information service supporting lectures and research project activities for faculties in Korean university libraries, and to explore the current issues of same fields in U.S. advanced university libraries. Notably, this research suggested considerations for a new model of scholarly information service which is based on web 2.0(/library 2.0) supporting lectures and research project activities for faculties appropriate to Korea university libraries.

A Study on Usability Evaluation for Improving Quality of University Digital Library Website in Korea

This study aims to evaluate the usability for improving quality of Hoseo university digital library website. Compatibility of web browser and loading speed are analyzed in using Doctor HTML and Web Site Garage, and seven major attributes of website. that is navigation, functionality, user control language and contents. system and user feedback, consistency, architectural and visual clarify, are analyzed and evaluated in using online questionnaire method. Finally this paper was suggested some problems and improvements of that website mentioned above, and general guidelines of website construction based on usability in university digital library in korea.

A Study on Service Quality Measurement of Digital Libraries with DL-SQI Model

The purpose of this study is to develop service quality measurement model(DL-SQI model) which are able to measure objectively service quality of digital libraries in Korea and to measure user perceived service quality performance with DL-SQI model. This study also investigates the influence of service quality on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Before measurement, two principal rules and indicator formula were made to measure the service quality. Finally service quality of three digital libraries selected as samples was measured and analyzed in various points of view. It was developed a DL-SQI Consequences Model and testified it through path analysis using structural equation model.

A Study on the Effective Information Service of Specialized Information Center in Scientific ＆ Technological Fields

In this study, It designated to grasp and analyse the status and problem regarding whole information service system in the object of specialized information center in scientific and technological fields which is designated and supported by KISTI(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information). And with this basis, it presented the efficient information service plan which reflected and adopted recent information technology, of specialized information center in scientific and technical fields To acquisite and analyse about the status and problem regarding whole information service system of specialized information center in scientific and technical fields, it executed a preceding research analysis, a questionnaire investigation, conversation which leads a direct visit to corresponding agency, website analysis of home page related corresponding agency, and the brainstorming method which leads the conference of the regular discussion with specialist in related fields in parallel.

A Study on Usability Evaluation for Improving Quality of User Services in CNU Digital Library Website

This study aims to evaluate the usability of XML-based Chungnam National University Digital Library Website. Usability testing are used three method, that is Log File Analysis, Online Questionnaire and Heuristic Evaluation. Log files are analyzed in using WiseLog Enterprise and Hit Analyzer for Enterprise jx 1.5 Beta Version and total 21 items are analyzed and evaluated in using online questionnaire method and heuristic evaluation is inquired by experts of web and information retrieval fields. Finally this paper was suggested some problems and improvements to advance quality of user services in university digital library website in korea.

A Development of Service Quality Evaluation Criteria for Academic Libraries in Korea

This study aims to draw implications on development of service quality evaluation criteria for academic libraries in Korea. First, this study review recent academic research trends on service quality evaluation criteria for academic libraries. Second, This paper diagnosed result of `the pilot evaluation of academic libraries in Korea` conducted from 2010 and 2011 and prospect the direction on the evaluation of academic library according to `Library Promotion Act` established in march 27, 2015. Finally, this article was performed comparative analysis of studies or criteria on service quality evaluation for academic libraries.

A Comparative Analysis of Studies on the Service Quality Evaluation of Libraries in Korea

The purpose of this study is to review recent academic studies on the service quality evaluation of libraries in Korea and to derive from research trends and several suggestions. This paper compared and analyzed service quality evaluation models in the field of library and information science and management science.
