Níveis de substituição do leite em pó desnatado pelo isolado protéico de soja na dieta de leitões desmamados

One experiment was conducted to study the effect of the substitution of dry skim milk for isolated soybean protein in diets of piglets from 21 to 35 days of age. It was used 80 piglets in a experimental design involved 5 treatments, 4 blocks of 4 animals each in a total of 16 piglets per treatment. The treatments constituted the levels of substitution (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) of the protein furnished by dry skim milk for isolated soybean protein. All the diets contained 20.00% crude protein, 3420kcal D.E./kg and 8.16% lactose and 1.20 lysine. It was observed a quadratic effect for weight gain and feed conversion and a linear effect for feed intake. There was not statistical effect of villus height, crypt depth and pancreas weight/carcass weight ration. It was concluded that isolated soybean protein may be used in the diet of piglets until the level of 34.25% for weight gain, and 51.00% for feed conversion in substitution of the protein furnished by dry skim milk. The total substitution of milk protein by soybean protein did not affect the villus integrity and the ratio pancreas weight/carcass weight.

Fontes e níveis de proteína em rações iniciais para leitões desmamados aos 21 dias de idade

Foi conduzido um experimento com o objetivo de avaliar fontes e niveis de proteina em racoes iniciais para leitoes desmamados aos 21 dias de idade. Utilizou-se um delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 2 x 2, onde foram estudados os fatores: tipos de dieta (soro de leite em po e farinha de peixe + lactose), niveis de proteina bruta (20,0% e 24,0%) e pesos dos leitoes ao desmame ( 6,0 kg), totalizando oito tratamentos com quatro repeticoes cada. O desempenho de leitoes desmamados aos 21 dias de idade alimentados com racoes contendo farinha de peixe + lactose foi superior ao dos leitoes que consumiram apenas o soro de leite em po. O nivel de 24% de proteina bruta nas racoes foi mais eficiente, sobretudo com a combinacao farinha de peixe + lactose. Concluiu-se que os tipos de dietas estudados nao exerceram efeito sobre os parâmetros histologicos e que a altura das vilosidades e uma funcao direta do peso do leitao.

Fontes de lactose, níveis de lisina dietéticos e peso dos leitões ao desmame

One experiment was carried out to evaluate the use of lactose sources (dried whey and lactose) and lysine levels (1.20 and 1.50%) in diets for weaned piglets with diferent body weight at 21 days of age, regarding performance and intestinal morphology of piglets in initial phase. Three hundred and eighty-four piglets from 21 to 42 days were sorted in a complete randomized design with a 2 x 2 x 2 factorial arrangement, in a total of eight treatments and four replications each. Samples of duodenum from three piglets slaughtered at 42 days of age were harvested from each treatment to study intestinal morphology. The following performance characteristics were evaluated: weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion. The morphologycal parameters were as follows: villous height, duodenum crypt depth, villous height/duodenum crypt depth ratio and pancreas/carcass weight ratio. Performance of piglets fed corn-soybean meal- based diets with lactose was better when the level of lysine was of 1.5%. It was also concluded that the type of diets studied did not alter the morphologycal parameters and that the villous height is a direct function of piglet weight.
