O sofrimento psíquico no puerpério: um estudo psicossociológico

Este estudo baseou-se na Teoria das Representacoes Sociais, buscando apreender o senso comum acerca da depressao posparto e da experiencia materna, elaborado pelas puerperas com sintomatologia depressiva. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, realizada em um servico publico de saude da cidade de Joao Pessoa, na Paraiba. A amostra foi constituida por 20 maes com sintomatologia depressiva, avaliada pela Escala de Edinburgh, instrumento para rastreamento da depressao pos-parto. As participantes submeteram-se a uma entrevista em profundidade, cujos registros, apos gravados e transcritos, foram tratados pela Analise de Conteudo Tematico. As maes ancoraram as representacoes sociais da depressao puerperal nos seus fatores desencadeantes, objetivados nas adversidades socioeconomicas e nas conflituosas relacoes sociais familiares e amorosas. A maternidade foi ancorada nas experiencias vivenciadas no puerperio, objetivadas na ambivalencia psicoafetiva, na sobrecarga advinda com o cuidar do bebe e da familia, nas mudancas na identidade feminina e nas expectativas futuras em relacao a vida familiar. Encarado sob um ponto de vista psicossociologico, este estudo possibilitou a compreensao de como a mae puerpera deprimida se sente em relacao a si e como pensa a respeito dos eventos da vida cotidiana, da sua experiencia materna e do seu ambiente social. Os resultados sugerem a necessidade de elaboracao de programas diferenciados de politicas publicas de saude coletiva voltados para a comunidade feminina durante sua fase reprodutiva, de modo a dar visibilidade e tratamento ao sofrimento psiquico presente no ciclo gravidico-puerperal. As representações sociais da depressão pós-parto elaboradas por mães puérperas

The psychosociologic study approached the postpartum depression on the subjective experience of the mothers in the postnatal context taking into account the information vehiculated in their belonging group. The study aimed at the apprehension of the social representations of depression and of maternal experience elaborated by postnatal mothers with or without depressive symptomatology. A descriptive research with mothers, users of a public health service, was made and two groups were formed, based on the pontuation obtained by the Edinburgh scale for tracking the postpartum depression: 32 postnatal mothers with depression symptomatology and 33 participants that didn’t have this symptomatology. The free association of words was used, and an analysis by the Tri-Deux-Mot software and a social-demographic questionaire were made and treated by the SPSS. For the inductor stimulus depression, on the postnatal without symptomatology, psycho-organic, valourative and historical-factual manifestations emerged. The depressive mothers anchorated the depression in psycho-afective factors, pointing out repercussions on their relationship with the babies. The study pointed out the need to use plural methodological procedures.

Meios de comunicação impressos, representações sociais e violência contra idosos

The objective was to understand the social representations of violence and abuse against the elderly, disseminated by the printed communications media from Sao Paulo and Paraiba. Documental research was carried out with 126 documentary news reports from Folha de S. Paulo and O Norte (Paraiba), whose texts were analyzed by Hierarchical Ratings Descending and Ascending, processed by the software Alceste. The spread of social representations of violence against the elderly found themselves polarized between the two newspapers: the one from Paraiba highlighted the themes of rights and public policies, the one from Sao Paulo emerged the occurrence of violence, the elderly as victims and their abusers, in a police perspective. It is inferred that the production and dissemination of knowledge through the newspapers reveal the hegemonic social representations of society in order to print a strain on social subjects, demanding psychosocial interventions in various segments of society, expecially when dealing with a phenomenon extremely complex which is the violence against the elderly.

A Sexualidade Na Velhice: Representações Sociais De Idosos Frequentadores de Um Grupo de Convivência

Objetivou-se apreender as representacoes sociais dos idosos acerca da sexualidade. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva com abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada nos aportes teoricos e metodologicos da Teoria das Representacoes Sociais. Participaram 30 idosos frequentadores de um grupo de convivencia localizado em Joao Pessoa-PB. Foram utilizadas entrevistas em profundidade, cujo conteudo foi submetido a analise de conteudo tematico. Os conteudos representacionais abordaram os elementos constituintes da sexualidade, as mudancas decorrentes do envelhecimento, a importância das vivencias sexuais para a pessoa idosa, bem como a percepcao negativa dessas praticas por parte da sociedade em geral. Observou-se que as representacoes sociais da sexualidade apresentaram-se de forma semelhante a descricao cientifica, demonstrando similaridades entre o senso comum e o conhecimento erudito. Acredita-se que este estudo possa contribuir de forma parcimoniosa para a promocao de mudancas de atitudes acerca da sexualidade da pessoa idosa, trazendo beneficios para a qualidade de vida dessa populacao.This study aimed to identify the social representations of older people surrounding sexuality. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, based on the theoretical and methodological contributions of the theory of social representations. Thirty elderly patrons of a support group located in João Pessoa, Brazil, participated. In-depth interviews were conducted, with the purpose of determining content subject to thematic content analysis. Representational content included the elements of sexuality, changes resulting from aging, importance of sexual experiences for the elderly, and negative perception of these practices on the part of society in general. It was observed that the social representations of sexuality were presented in a similar manner to scientific description, demonstrating similarities between common sense and scholarly knowledge. It is believed that this study will contribute sparingly to promote changes in attitudes about sexuality in the elderly, thereby bringing benefits to the quality of life of this population.
