Chapter 15 Reflective Practice in the Teaching Profession: The Case of Training and Research Practices in the French Community in Belgium

The idea of reflective practice, a concept that is currently in vogue in educational circles, is taken up in this chapter. Having to do with training and research practices in the French community in Belgium, this chapter revolves around two major themes: an overview of training as approached in French-speaking Belgium and a summary of teaching and research issues addressed by researchers in this particular part of Europe. In the final analysis, important matters having to do with socialization and intelligibility and their relationship to reflective practice are probed. These considerations are of major significance to educators worldwide.

Le codéveloppement par les pairs : une stratégie de réflexivité au service de l'évaluation et du conseil

Apres avoir decrit les differentes etapes du codeveloppement professionnel comme une demarche d’analyse des pratiques et de reflexivite et apres en avoir presente les principes fondateurs, le present article se propose, dans un second temps, d’en relever quelques conditions de fonctionnement issues de l’experience de terrain des chercheurs et de presenter les effets observes par les participants. Cet exercice de description permet, dans un troisieme temps, de relever comment le codeveloppement professionnel est une demarche qui utilise l’autoevaluation et le conseil au service de l’apprentissage sur et pour sa propre pratique.
