This paper describes the structural analysis of the native form of laccase from Trametes hirsuta at 1.8 A resolution. This structure provides a basis for the elucidation of the mechanism of catalytic action of these ubiquitous proteins. The 1.8 A resolution native structure provided a good level of structural detail compared with many previously reported laccase structures. A brief comparison with the active sites of other laccases is given.

The problem of real-time intelligent guidance of a telescope to the center of a planet in non-full phase is considered. A new logical first-order language of positively constructed formulae and its calculus are used as a logical instrument for deriving the control. Such an approach allows the characteristics of control systems to be improved. The authors consider in detail the control synthesis on the basis of an automatic refutation technique in time-driven and temporal reasoning modes.

A description of the calculus of positively constructed formulas (PCF) and prover based on this calculus is considered. The PCF calculus has been developed by Russian scientists S.N. Vassiliev and A.K. Zherlov by an evolutionary way in describing and solving control theory problems. This calculus has features, which are applicable in control theory. The described implementation of the prover uses several techniques and strategies to improve prover performance. The prover is being tested by means of solving problems from TPTP library. The usage of implemented inference search strategies is also commented in this paper.

The preprocessing of positively-constructed formulas (PCFs) for automatic deduction search algorithms is considered in this paper. A new efficient algorithm for conversion of the predicate calculus language formulas to the language of PCFs and equivalent rules of reducing PCFs, preserving the original heuristic structure of knowledge represented by the formulas of the predicate calculus language, are presented.

Engineering of the compiled software is an important task in software engineering. One of the stages of the engineering technologies is a construction and analysis of a control flow graphs, which reflect a general structure of algorithms. The paper presents a technique for analyzing and visualizing the control flow graph of a compiled software. The analysis is based on semantically equivalent transformations of the original graph resulting in an abstract node that contains a hierarchy of isolated regions, which then associated with predefined templates resulting a graphical representation. The templates and additional signature data allow one to recognize the high-level programming structures and user statements to construct a flow-chart notation of the original program.

We consider optimal control problems solved in the process of decision support implemented as a submodule of a hybrid decision support system (HDSS). The HDSS is devoted to figure out a sustainable consumption of the forest resources in an industrial region. The proposed decision is presented to decision maker as possible scenarios of a modeled object development in the future. The scenarios are generated by a subsystem according to initial value combination obtained from various data sources. The mathematical model as an informational object representation is generated by means of automated reasoning that implements a technique of a model construction. The paper deals with the internals of the HDSS related to optimal control model implementation and its integration into the whole system. A HDSS is tested on the data of forest resources of Irkutsk Region.
