One new species of the Genus Apotrechus (Orthoptera: Gryllacrididae), with provided morphological photographs for five Chinese species

One new species of the genus Apotrechus from China is described, i.e. Apotrechus trilobus Bian & Shi sp. nov.. Meanwhile, a key to the species and the morphological photographs for five Chinese known species are provided in this paper. All material is deposited in the Museum of Hebei University.

Notes on the genus Conocephalus Thunberg, 1815 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Conocephalinae) in Southwest China with description of one new species

This paper reports eight species of the genus Conocephalus from Southwest China, including one new species, Conocephalus (Anisoptera) gracilicercus sp. nov., and provides the characteristic and habitus photographs.

A new species of the genus Pseudocosmetura Liu, Zhou & Bi, 2010 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae) from Sichuan Wanglang National Nature Reserve, China

The paper described one new species from Sichuan, China. The new species, i.e. Pseudocosmetura wanglangensis sp. nov. differs from the known species of the genus in its distinctive male cercus and epiproct.

Remarks on the genus Tamdaotettix Gorochov, 1998 (Orthoptera: Rhaphidophoridae: Aemodogryllinae) from China

In this paper, a new species of the genus Tamdaotettix from China, Tamdaotettix (Tamdaotettix) longituberus sp. nov., is described, with a new recorded species, Tamdaotettix (Tamdaotettix) dilutus Gorochov, 1998 from China. The morphological photographs of Tamdaotettix (Tamdaotettix) longituberus sp. nov., Tamdaotettix (Tamdaotettix) dilutus Gorochov, 1998, Tamdaotettix (Tamdaotettix) tridenticulatus Qin, Liu Li, 2016 and the distribution data of the genus Tamdaotettix from China are provided. All specimens examined are preserved in the Museum of Hebei University.

Review of the genus Diestramima Storozhenko, 1990 (Orthoptera: Rhaphidophoridae: Aemodogryllinae) from China

In this paper, 6 new species, 1 new subspecies and 1 newly recorded species of the genus Diestramima from China are described, i.e. Diestramima acutiapicis sp. nov., Diestramima bina sp. nov., Diestramima cycla sp. nov., Diestramima truncata sp. nov., Diestramima subtilis sp. nov., Diestramima eurya sp. nov., Diestramima austrosinensis quaterna ssp. nov. and Diestramima major Gorochov, 1998. The morphological photographs of these and 8 known species are provided. All specimens examined are preserved in the Museum of Hebei University.

Notes on the genus Larnaca Walker, 1869 (Orthoptera: Gryllacridinae) from China

Walker (1869) proposed the genus Larnaca with type species Larnaca fasciata Walker, 1869. Karny (1937) gave the characters of the genus and listed 8 species. Gorochov (2003) subdivided the genus into two subgenera: Larnaca and Paralarnaca, and their type species are Larnaca (Larnaca) fasciata Walker, 1869 (Malesia) and Larnaca (Paralarnaca) johni (Griffini, 1911) (Malesia) respectively, and described 2 new species, i.e. Larnaca (Larnaca) vietnamensis Gorochov, 2003 (type locality: Vietnam) and Larnaca (Larnaca) phetchaburi Gorochov, 2003 (type locality: Thailand). Bian et al. (2015) firstly reported Larnaca Walker, 1869 from China, and described 1 new species, i.e. Larnaca (Larnaca) emarginata Bian, Guo & Shi, 2015. So far, the genus Larnaca includes 13 species.

Comments on the genus Zalarnaca Gorochov, 2005 (Orthoptera: Gryllacrididae: Gryllacridinae) with two new combinations and two new synonyms

Two new combinations of the genus Zalarnaca Gorochov, 2005 are reported and illustrated, i.e. Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) sinica (Li, Liu & Li, 2016) com. nov.; Zalarnaca (Glolarnaca) hainanica (Li, Liu & Li, 2016) com. nov. Also two synonyms are confirmed: Prosopogryllacris chinensis Li, Liu & Li, 2016 synonymized with Eugryllacris elongata Bian & Shi, 2016, and Prosopogryllacris incisa Li, Liu & Li, 2016 synonymized with Eugryllacris longifissa Bian & Shi, 2016. All material examined is deposited in the Museum of Hebei University.

First record of the subgenus Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) (Orthoptera: Gryllidae: Landrevinae) from China, with description of a new species

The subgenus Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) Kirby, 1906 is recorded for the first time in China, a new species i.e.: Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) bannanus sp. nov. was collected from Xishuangbanna of Yunnan province, China. The description and illustrations of the new species are provided. A distribution map of all species of Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) in the world is presented.

One new species and one new recorded species of the genus Kuzicus (Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae: Meconematini) from China

In this paper, a new species of the genus Kuzicus from China, Kuzicus (Kuzicus) leptocercus sp. nov., is described, with a new recorded species, Kuzicus (Kuzicus) koeppeli Sänger & Helfert, 2004 from China. The distribution data and morphological photographs of Kuzicus (Kuzicus) leptocercus sp. nov. and Kuzicus (Kuzicus) koeppeli Sänger & Helfert, 2004 are provided. All specimens are preserved in the Museum of Hebei University.

Review of the subgenus Xizicus ( Xizicus ) Gorochov, 1993 (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae) from China

Gorochov (1993) erected the subgenus Xizicus (Xizicus), with the type species Xizicus (Xizicus) fascipes (Bey-Bienko, 1955). This subgenus is distinguished from the other subgenera of Xizicus by the following characters: male tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of contiguous posterior processes in the middle; subgenital plate simple, styli slender, located on the apices or subapices of lateral margins; posterior margin of female subgenital plate rounded.
