A contribution to the knowledge of Themus ( Haplothemus ) Wittmer from China (Coleoptera: Cantharidae)

The Chinese fauna of Themus Motschulsky, 1858 is studied. Two new species are described: Themus (Haplothemus) quadratiformis sp. nov. (China: Shaanxi) and T. (H.) longideverticulum sp. nov. (China: Yunnan). Themus (Haplothemus) mishmiensis Wittmer, 1973 stat. nov. is elevated to the full-species rank from the subspecies of T. (H.) elongatior Pic, 1955, both species are redescribed. The male of T. (H.) quadratus Wittmer, 1983 and the female of T. (H.) weishanensis Kopetz, 2016 are described for the first time. The species are illustrated with aedeagus and habitus of male, abdominal sternite VIII and internal genitalia of female.

First record of the subgenus Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) (Orthoptera: Gryllidae: Landrevinae) from China, with description of a new species

The subgenus Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) Kirby, 1906 is recorded for the first time in China, a new species i.e.: Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) bannanus sp. nov. was collected from Xishuangbanna of Yunnan province, China. The description and illustrations of the new species are provided. A distribution map of all species of Duolandrevus (Duolandrevus) in the world is presented.

Cacoplistes ( Laminogryllus ) brevisparamerus sp. nov., a new species of Cachoplistinae (Orthoptera: Phalangopsidae) from Guangxi, China

Cacoplistes (Laminogryllus) brevisparamerus sp. nov. was collected from Guangxi, China. New species is similar to C. (L.) choui Liu & Shi, 2012, but differs from the latter by the shape of male genitalia. The description and illustrations of the new species are provided. A distribution map of all species of Cacoplistes is presented.

Qingryllus jiguanshanensis sp. n. from Sichuan, China, the second species of Qingryllus (Orthoptera, Gryllidae)

Abstract A second species of Qingryllus Chen & Zheng is described and illustrated, Q. jiguanshanensis sp. n., from Sichuan, China. This new species is similar to Q. striofemorus Chen & Zheng, 1995, but differs from the latter by the posterior margin of pronotum being distinctly widened, the veins of tegmina yellowish-white only on lateral side of dorsal area, and the epiphallus distinctly widened posteriorly. A distribution map of the species of this genus and habitus photographs of the new species are presented.

First record of Sonotrella Gorochov (Orthoptera: Gryllidae) from Laos, with description of a new species.

The genus Sonotrella Gorochov, 1988 is recorded to Laos for the first time. A new species is described and illustrated, S. (Sonotrella) laosensis sp. nov. (type locality: Laos). A distribution map of the species of Sonotrella (Sonotrella) and a key to the subgenera of Sonotrella worldwide are given.

First record of the genus Anaxiphomorpha Gorochov (Orthoptera: Gryllidae) from China, with description of four new species.

The genus Anaxiphomorpha Gorochov, 1987 is recorded to China for the first time. We provide supplementary characters of female for generic diagnosis. Four new species from China are described and illustrated, Anaxiphomorpha serratiprotuberus sp. nov. A. brevisparamerus sp. nov. A. biserratus sp. nov. and A. longiserratus sp. nov. A key and a distribution map of all species in the world are presented.

A new species of Amusurgus ( Usgmona ) Furukawa from China (Orthoptera: Gryllidae: Trigonidiinae)

Amusurgus (Usgmona) excavatus Liu, Shi et Zhou, sp. nov. (China, Fujian) is described and illustrated with the male genitalia. Photos of habitus and ecological habitat are also included.

Review of the genus Pentacentrus Saussure (Orthoptera: Gryllidae: Pentacentrinae) from China

Four new species of Pentacentrus Gorochov from China are described and illustrated, P. acutiparamerus Liu & Shi sp. nov., P. biflexuous Liu & Shi sp. nov., P. emarginatus Liu & Shi sp. nov. and P. parvulus Liu & Shi sp. nov. A key and a distribution map of the Chinese species of this genus are provided.
