The article presents the theoretical and experimental research findings aimed to create a basis for the development of innovative integrated processing technologies for complex ore and mine waste. It is found that introduction of nonmechanical energy treatment by an accelerated electron beam in the ore dressing circuits increases rebellious mineral processing data. The features of a flotation unit process are analyzed from the viewpoint of improvement of collecting and selecting abilities of a reagent and relationship between these abilities and molecular structure of the reagent. The authors define flotation activity of reagents and offer a flotation contact formation criterion. It is proved to be effective and promising to use magnesium- and manganese-bearing minerals for sorption purification of mine effluents in order to reduce metal loss in the wastewater discharge and to minimize damage of natural water bodies.

Sorption properties of manganese ores to arsenic compounds in aqueous media are examined on the ore samples extracted from three Siberian deposits. The relation between sorption activity of manganese ores and medium pH, sorbent consumption, manganese content in the ore, and a manganese ore preparation process is established. Sorption properties in combination with earlier found oxidizing properties substantially expand the scope of integrated application of manganese ores.

The results are presented for the investigations into the catalytic properties of carbonate and oxide manganese ores in extraction of bivalent iron and manganese ions from underground waters. The phase transformations of rhodochrosites during thermal modification are examined, and the optimum regimes of ore calcination are determined for obtaining the catalytic-active oxide forms.

The authors have analyzed copper adsorption on manganese ore from Porozhinskoe deposit. The results allow a hypothesis on the mechanisms of adsorption kinetics: adsorption rate is limited both by diffusion processes and by chemical interaction. The analysis of adsorption isotherm and its mathematical processing show that copper exhibits strong affinity toward manganese ore surface; the Langmuir equation describes the copper adsorption equilibrium with high correlation factor. The Gibbs energy has negative value.

The results are presented for investigations into the effect of ultrasonic field on the sorption characteristics of natural brucite. It is shown that due to treatment of the inhomogeneous brucite-metal solution medium in the sound field with the frequency of 22 - 35 kHz, the sorption kinetics intensifies sharply as compared with the standard mechanical agitation.
