Radioactive applications are employed in many aspects of our life, such as industry, medicine and agriculture. One of the most important issues that need to be addressed is the security of the movement of radioactive sources. There are many threats that may occur during the transportation of the radioactive sources from one place to another. This paper investigates the security issues in the transportation of the radioactive sources. Thus, it is an attempt to build a secure, real time freight tracking system in which the radioactive source can be under inspection and control at all times during transportation from the shipment provider to the end user. Thus, we proposed a novel lightweight mutual authentication protocol to be used for securing the transportation of radioactive materials. Also, the security requirements for the proposed protocol were verified using the Scyther tool.

The Jeju Special Self-Government Provincial Government has made the plan penetrating gradually EVs in the Jeju Special Self-Government Province. However the reports on effects of EVs penetration on the electrical grid of the Jeju are only a few. In this paper the yearly electric energy consumed by the EVs was calculated in the Jeju for the future 10 years and we hope that our study results will help the governors realize the EVs penetration plan in the Jeju.

An 1 MW PV plant constructed at the Ara campus of Jeju Natio nal University in May 2012, which was the biggest roof-top PV plant in Korea and the biggest PV plant in Jeju Isl and at the time. In this paper the generation characteristics of the plant was analyzed on the basis of the data obtained during 2 years. The amount of electrical energy generated by the plant in July was less than those by the PV plants of the other regions except Jeju Island in Korea, which might be due to the long rainy season started in June earlie r than the other regions. But those generated by the plant during summer season was more than those during autumn, which was different trend from the other regions in Korea. And the yearly capacity factor of the pant was 12.7% which is low relatively in Korea. The loss of the transformer in the plant, as expected, was shown to increase according to increasing the electrical energy generated by the plant. Summers transformer loss was greater than springs one in spite of summers generated electrical energy less than springs one, which tells that the transformer have the need to strengthen its cooling in summer.

Abstract Lighting improvements are needed for adequate operation of security installations according to the turn of scientific policing instead of human policing. The basic principles of security lighting is to provide sufficient lighting over a specific area so that anyone moving in or around can be seen easily. Also, in security lighting, illuminance and uniformity are to be considered for clearing of CCTV screen through the lighting improvement. To achieve such goals, each pole is to be considered of the height and the space of luminaries as well as the wattage and the type of lamps. In this paper, the lighting designs show the adequate operations of fence security systems through the actualmeasurement of illuminance by mock-up and the illuminance analyses for obtaining proper illuminance and uniformityvalue to keep brightness of CCTV screen able to confirm objects considering characteristics of CCTV monitor by simulations. Key Words : Mock-up of Lighting, Lighting Design, Lighting Simulation, Security Installations

The extent of copper leaching in soil columns packed with black volcanic soils, very dark brown volcanic soils, and dark brown non-volcanic soils and in soil beakers containing copper grounding materials (copper clad steel, copper pipe, and copper plate) were examined using deionized distilled water, HNO3 (pH 3.5) and 3.5% NaCl solution as a leaching solution. Among the leaching solutions, 3.5% NaCl solution highly affected the leaching of copper in soils containing copper grounding materials, except for black volcanic soil and copper clad steel. The effect of HNO3 (pH 3.5) soil on the leaching of copper was not so high because of buffering capacity of soils. The copper in soils and copper grounding materials were not easily leached by a deionized distilled water.
