Trust plays important roles on effective interaction and cooperation for multi-agent systems(MAS). This study aims at finding out the current situation and future trends of computational trustfor multi-agent systems. Through defining seven common compositional elements for the computational trust models, the study points out significant weaknesses in the current design. Finally, the paper figures out the future research trends through discussion and analysis around the strengths and weaknesses identified. Also the paper proposes an idea of using ontology and XML technologies such as RDF that allow systems to provide both human and machine readable annotations for trust models.

The rapid development of mobile platforms enables new approaches to improve the operational efficiency of the wireless response systems (WRS). This investigation aims at achieving a solution in term of simple and fast operations for WRS. Two prototypes of different architectures are developed using Flex Builder and iPhone SDK respectively. The testing devices used are the latest handheld devices, such as iPoD Touch/iPhone, and HTC windows mobile phones. The advantages and disadvantages of the two approaches are identified after exhaustive in house testing and evaluations. Results show that current native approach is simpler in operation and faster in speed. It can be concluded that the introduction of native mobile application can advance the efficiency of wireless response system compared with traditional Internet involved applications.

The paper first analyzes trust relations, combining the characteristic of multi-agent system, investigates the equal-relations based trust mechanism for multi- agent system, and proposes a possible trust model to quantify and manage the reliability of agent in multi- agent system through building trust database and network of agent. Simulation experiment show that the model is able to promptly evaluate and update trust relation among agents, and improve the reliability and efficiency of interaction between agents, providing a solution for the trust problem of multi-agent system.

A device for preventing a motor from being locked comprises a position indicator for indicating a position to be moved in response to rotation of the motor, a position detector for detecting the position being moved in response to rotation of the motor, a servo control unit for supplying a current to the motor so that an output signal from the position detector will be equalized with an indication by the position indicator, a stop detector for detecting stoppage of the motor in response to a differential of the output signal from the position detector, and a cutoff control unit for cutting off the current supplied from the servo control unit to the motor in response to an output signal from the stop detector.
