전력사용이 증가함에 따라 전기설비에 의한 전기화재 발생이 증가하고 있다. 통계에 따르면 전기화재가 화재원인 중 가장 높은 비중을 차지하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 전기화재를 사전에 예방할 수 있는 조사 기법이 아직은 부족한 실정이다. 이 논문은 전기화재 원인과 아크차단기의 특성에 관하여 분석한다. 먼저 아크차단기와 기존의 배선용 차단기를 비교하고 전력의 수학적 분석을 동해 아크에 의한 위험성을 분석하고 회로의 단락에 의한 위험성과 비교한다. 또한 아크차단기 설치와 사회적 비용간의 관계에 대해 알아봄으로써 아크차단기의 필요성을 제기한다.

Assessment Method and Calculations for Protective Conductor of TN-S System and IEC 60364 Application

A conductor has been produced according to IEC standard and low voltage electrical facility has been installed according to IEC 60364. So we must comply with international standard for design, construction and inspection. But because of many related and varied standards, it is difficult to apply to design and inspect for electrical equipment. We researched the necessity of design guide which is detailed and systematization from survey. For detailed design guide, we suggest calculation method of protective conductor cross-sectional area at TN-S system according to BS 7671 regulation and KS C IEC 60364 standard.

The Cause Analysis and Research of Malfunction for Elevator Equipment of the Apartment House

The number of elevator installation increases every year about 15,000. The number of confine-disease of elevator increases every year and then sudden in, sudden stop, error of level indication, stand; those can bring to uneasiness of elevator passenger and malfunction related life accident is increasing. Therefore we researched elevator repair diary of elevator repairing company, APT management office and 119 life rescue for elevator confine-disease during 2004. 1. 1.12. 31. we analyzed the content and the time type and cause of the malfunction and fault for APT elevator. Form the result of 119 life rescue, only power reset is 24[%] and only power failure is 8.2[%] by cause of confine-disease. This paper will be used data of the analysis for mutual relation between Power Quality and malfunction and fault of elevator.

The Study of Measurement and Performance Evaluation for Elevator Equipment by Instantaneous Power Quality

The number of confine-disease of elevator increases every year and then sudden rise, sudden stop, error of level indication, stand; those can bring to uneasiness of elevator passenger and malfunction accidents related life accident are increasing. For confirmation those malfunction accident, we are measuring and analyzing power quality(Sag, Swell, Interruption) of the actual site and evaluated the performance for stop and stating by testing the two imitation test equipment with EN12016(2004) standard level. This paper will be used data of the analysis for mutual relation between Power Quality and malfunction and fault of elevator.

Improvement of Lighting Installation Technical Standard in Waterpark, Public Bath and Similar Places for the Prevention of Electric Shock

A person`s body resistance in the waterpark, public bath and similar places is much lower than any other places due to effect of water. So low voltage may create a shock hazard for the human body in case of leakage or fault currents from lighting unit etc. We researched the related regulations which are internal standards, NEC, IEC and investigated the actual conditions for the prevention of electric shock due to lighting units in the waterpark, public bath and similar places. As a results internal standard is obscure as compared with NEC, IEC which is the limit of application and distinction of environment condition. And then internal standard`s using voltage is higher than NEC, IEC in filed of water. Studies show that internal standard should be revision that raise the installation height of lighting unit, mark IP level surface of lighting unit and limit using voltage to line-to-line voltage

Consideration for Confirmity Assessment of Eco-friendly Public Transportation System based on the Wireless Power Transfer Technology

According to the Article 4(Confirmity Assessment)of the Electrotechnical Regulation, Confirmity Assessment for the Electrotechnical Regulation decides confirmity of Electrotechnical Regulation; whether to satisfy performances and requirements(determined from Electrotechnical Regulation). It evaluates technical requirements, new technology and standards. However, it does not evaluate technical content stated from Electrotechnical Regulation & Conformity Criteria. From Confirmity Assessment, the technology will be decided whether to fulfill performances and technical requirements. Which is predetermined by contents related to Electrotechnical Regulation. Test standards and test conditions will be overlooked to determine its performances and technical requirements for safety. This paper will show that, studies have been done to determine the guideline for Confirmity Assessment, which is evaluated from performances and technical requirements associated with Confirmity Assessment of electrical installation for new technology of wireless power transfer.

Lightning Risk Assessment for Structures Lower than 20m High

Korean Industrial Standards for lightning protection system complies with IEC standards. However, the standards are applicable only to buildings and structures more than 20 meters in high. Therefore, it is necessary to determine whether lightning protection system should be installed on structures lower than 20 meters high. This paper proposes an efficient method of assessing risk against lightning of structures lower than 20 meters high. The method suggests simplified lightning protection system and provides selecting an appropriate protection level. The suggested method assumes that structure under assessment has no lightning protection system and there is no person around the structure at the moment of lightning stroke. A simplified method of assessing the risk to human within the structure is developed by adopting the general assessment factor. The selection of a protection level is possible by comparing tolerable risk with physical damage risk caused by a direct lightning. Finally, this paper gives ways to establish surge protection measures when a structure with lightning risk is within a radius of 2km from the assessed structure even if this structure requires no lightning protection system.

Application Method Analysis at Voltage Drop Calculations on Low Voltage Feeder by IEC Standard

Development of the Circuit Breaker with Data Processing Function and Wireless-communication Function

In this paper, in order to reduce the electrical disaster such as electrical fire at traditional markets, we need to develop the circuit breaker which is able to monitor the power status of electrical equipments. Therefore, for solving the those problems, we developed the detection censor(ZCT, CT) and equipment of data analysis and transmission. The detection censor and equipment is able to monitor the electrical equipments condition(over current, leakage current, arc, etc.). We constructed Test-Bed for testing reliability of the circuit breaker and obtained certification. And we tested the over current, leakage current and arc under the normal condition. This paper will be used to the data for development an cabinet panel which is able to monitor the actual loads.

Development of Single Phase Cabinet Panel with Electrical Safety Monitoring System by Mobile
