Peculiarities of the static and dynamic failure mechanism of long-term exploited gas pipeline steel

Mechanical properties are substantiated, that are the most vulnerable to maintenance material deterioration of under prolonged operating time, accompanied by intense damage. The opposite behavior of relative elongation and contraction indicates the intensity of scattered damage of the operated metal. Reducing the percentage reduction indicates operational metal embrittlement, as a result of strain hardening, which can serve as confirmation of the increase in hardness and microhardness. Fractographic analysis of failure mechanisms of steel 17G1S cut in the length and breadth of the pipe is implemented.

Straipsnyje nagrinėjama automobilių keliamo triuksmo žala eismo dalyviams ir aplinkiniams, taip pat apžvelgiami Lietuvoje ir Europos Sąjungoje galiojantys dokumentai, reglamentuojantys triuksmo prevenciją ir ateityje įgyvendinamas triuksmo mažinimo priemones. Eksperimentinėje dalyje pateikiama aikstelėje stovincių automobilių variklių keliamo triuksmo matavimo metodika ir miesto teritorijoje transporto srauto sukelto triuksmo eksperimentiniai tyrimai. Remiantis gautais rezultatais pateikiamos isvados.

Traffic management facilities used at intersection of Ukmergės and Geležinio Vilko Streets in Vilnius

Vilnius, the capital and the largest city of Lithuania, is faced with serious traffic problems. The main streets of the city are overcrowded with traffic. Therefore, the effective ways to ease the congestion should be sought. The paper considers the problem of high traffic intensity and congestion at the intersection of two busy Vilnius streets. Research is based on the analysis of the data stored at the Vilnius Traffic Management Centre and the information obtained in the experimental investigation of traffic flows. All the collected data have been used in the traffic simulation program, to make some effective measures helping to increase traffic capacity of the considered intersection.

Mechatronic System of the Injection of Ethanol in an Intake Manifold of a Diesel Engine

This research was carried out with an Audi-80 turbo diesel engine that has a supplementary ethanol feed to air intake. The obtained results allowed for a mathematical expression to get a description of the optimal ethanol supply, which ensures the maximum heat efficiency coefficient for different engine working conditions.
