Symmetrische Alkene über Episulfone aus primären Sulfonylchloriden

Günter Opitz; Thomas Ehlis; Karlheinz Rieth

Abstract Primary sulfonyl chlorides RCH2SO2Cl(R= Alk or Ar) react with triethylamine in acetonitrile solution at −40°C to give mixtures of cis- and trans-2,3-disubstituted thiirane-1,1-dioxides which can be thermolyzed to the corresponding Z- and E-alkenes.

THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF MESYLSULFENE-TRIETHYLAMINE-ADDUCT

Karlheinz Rieth; Günter Opitz

Abstract Treatment of an acetonitrile solution of mesylchloride with triethylamine at −40°C leads to triethylammonium chloride and a solution of mesylsulfene-triethylamine-adduct 1, stable for several days at −40°C 1).
