Künstlerische Therapien: Zusammenstellungen von Studien zu Künstlerischen Therapien in der Onkologie und Geriatrie

Zusammenfassung. Im Rahmen der Einfuhrung des DRG-Fallpauschalensystems (diagnosis related groups) wurde zur Begrundung der Aufnahme der Kunstlerischen Therapien in das Klassifikationssystem der Prozeduren des OPS-301 (Operationsschlussel) wissenschaftliche Belege eingefordert. Die Grundlage dafur wurden sowohl durch die “Zusammenstellungen von Studien in der Akutmedizin und Onkologie“ zur Begrundung der psychosozialen Diagnostik und Therapie Kunstlerischer Therapien erbracht, als auch durch die Beschreibung der Relevanz (d.h. fachlich unverzichtbar; fachlich etabliert; wissenschaftlich evaluiert; Angaben zum Evidenzgrad zitierter Studien; Angaben zu anderen internationalen Prozedurenklassifikationen) erfullt. Die “Zusammenstellung von Studien in der Akutmedizin und Geriatrie“ aus 2004 entstand zur Begrundung der Erweiterung der “geriatrischen fruhrehabilitativen Komplexbehandlung“ um Kunstlerische Therapien (Kunsttherapie, Musiktherapie u.a.). Kunsttherapie: Entwicklung und Evaluierung eines Beobachtungsinstruments zur systematischen Analyse von Patientenbildern aus der Onkologie und der Rheumatologie

Art Therapy: Development and Evaluation of an Instrument to Analyze Paintings of Patients in Oncology and Rheumatology Systematically Introduction: Art therapies have been established methods in oncology for many years. To what extent patients’ pictures can be systematically described, and what connections to various illnesses are possibly thereby revealed, has been discussed in various specialized medical fields for over a hundred years. The following paper first presents insight into the present stand of research and then presents the results of the study. Question: Are systematic analyses of pictures possible with the use of the instrument we have developed? Are pictorial differences evident within the researched group? Method: A previously developed instrument was submitted for expert questioning for the purpose of the study. The instrument that had been modified on the basis of these results could then be used in the study to interpret 162 pictures. Four different raters, three of whom were acquainted with neither the patients nor the pictures, interpreted these pictures independently of one another. Results: The evaluation of the expert interpretations shows that this newly developed instrument is suitable for the differentiated description of patients‘ pictures. First important indications were drawn in regard to the pictorial differences between the two examined groups of cancer patients and patients with chronic polyarthritis. Conclusion: Systematic picture analyses are possible. A further analysis of the expert interpretations is necessary to clarify questions raised by the pictorial differences found in the various diagnostic groups.

Zur Rolle der Farbe in der Kunsttherapie

Zusammenfassung. Die Farbe gilt als ein zentrales therapeutisches Medium in der Kunsttherapie. Zu ihrer Wirkung auf den Menschen wurde bereits eine Vielzahl von Arbeiten verschiedener Fachbereiche durchgefuhrt. Ubergreifende - fur die Evaluation und weitere Entwicklung der Kunsttherapie grundlegende - wissenschaftliche Aussagen liegen jedoch nicht vor. Die folgende Arbeit systematisiert die bestehenden Theorien und empirischen Ergebnisse gemas den von ihnen beschriebenen Grundlagen und Bereichen der Farbwirkung. In Vergleich dazu wird die therapeutisch-diagnostische Anwendung der Farbe speziell innerhalb der jungianischen und der anthroposophischen Kunsttherapie betrachtet. Aus dieser Analyse ergeben sich wesentliche, noch zu bearbeitemde Forschungsfragen fur die Kunsttherapie. Die Notwendigkeit von speziell, unter besonderer Beachtung qualitativer Ansatze, entwickelten Forschungsmethoden zeichnet sich ab.

Kunsttherapiestudie: Expertendiskurs zur differenzierten Beschreibung von Bildern von an Krebs erkrankten Menschen

Zusammenfassung. Die systematische Bildanalyse ist im Blickfeld der unterschiedlichen kunsttherapeutischen Ansatze eines der wesentlichen Mittel, anhand dessen Fragen der nachvollziehbaren Beschreibbarkeit von Bildern diskutiert werden. Inwieweit Bilder von an Krebs erkrankter Menschen selbst schon Hinweise auf das Krankheitsbild oder den Krankheitsstatus geben, ist ein seit langerem intensiv diskutierter Forschungsgegenstand. Der folgende Beitrag gibt einleitend einen Einblick in den diesbezuglichen Forschungsstand. Anschliesend wird das methodische Vorgehen eines sogenannten halbstrukturierten Expertenkreises innerhalb der Studie “Systematische Analyse spontaner Bilder von an Krebs erkrankter Menschen” naber beschrieben. Exemplarische Ergebnisse geben Hinweise darauf, wie durch eine exakte Bildbeschreibung mehr als eine Ahnung von dem Menschen in seiner Krankheitssituation, respektive seinem moglichen Befinden aufleuchten kann.

Creative Arts Interventions for Stress Management and Prevention—A Systematic Review

Stress is one of the world’s largest health problems, leading to exhaustion, burnout, anxiety, a weak immune system, or even organ damage. In Germany, stress-induced work absenteeism costs about 20 billion Euros per year. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Central Federal Association of the public Health Insurance Funds in Germany ascribes particular importance to stress prevention and stress management as well as health enhancing measures. Building on current integrative and embodied stress theories, Creative Arts Therapies (CATs) or arts interventions are an innovative way to prevent stress and improve stress management. CATs encompass art, music, dance/movement, and drama therapy as their four major modalities. In order to obtain an overview of CATs and arts interventions’ efficacy in the context of stress reduction and management, we conducted a systematic review with a search in the following data bases: Academic Search Complete, ERIC, Medline, Psyndex, PsycINFO and SocINDEX. Studies were included employing the PICOS principle and rated according to their evidence level. We included 37 studies, 73% of which were randomized controlled trials. 81.1% of the included studies reported a significant reduction of stress in the participants due to interventions of one of the four arts modalities.

Ein kunsttherapeutischer Projekttag zur Gesundheitsförderung bei Klienten aus Burnout-Selbsthilfegruppen – eine explorative Studie

AIM The present exploratory study dealt with the question whether a specialized concept of art therapy interventions could increase the current and habitual well-being for participants of burnout self-help groups. METHOD Quantitative: pre-post: Current well-being: list of discomforts (Beschwerdenliste: B-L); current mood scale (Aktuelle Stimmungsskala: ASTS); Habitual well-being: quality of life (SF-36); qualitative: post: semi-structured interviews with open key questions; evaluation: structured content analysis of Mayring. RESULTS Quantitative: significant increase of current and habitual well-being; qualitative: generation of 3 general and 8 specific art therapy work factors. CONCLUSION Specialized resource-activating concepts of art therapy interventions can effectively complement existing programs for burnout prevention and health promotion.

Gesetzlicher Rahmen des Fallpauschalengesetzes - Qualitätssicherung und Erfassung psychosozialer Leistungen

Zusammenfassung. Der gesetzliche Rahmen des Fallpauschalengesetzes beschreibt die Anwendung und Pflege der Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) uber amtliche Klassifikationen von Diagnosen und Prozeduren. Sowohl eine Qualitatssicherung als auch eine Leistungserfassung der psychosozialen Therapien ist notwendig, da kunstlerische Therapien in diesem System innerhalb der psychosozialen Therapien angesiedelt sind. Psychosoziale Mitarbeiter, also auch kunstlerische TherapeutInnen, mussen ihre Leistungen erfassen durch Kodierung und Dokumentation. Zur Umsetzung gibt es Empfehlungen von Fachgesellschaften. Diese sind seit 2001 tatig geworden zur Sicherung der Psychosozialen und Kunstlerischen Therapien in der Akutmedizin. The CARE-AAT Guideline: Development and testing of a consensus-based guideline for case reports in anthroposophic art therapy

ABSTRACT Anthroposophic art therapists (AATs) report individual cases in narratives of poor scientific quality. Good quality case reports are an important factor in the development of evidence-based practice. A guideline for scientific case reports could contribute to this. However, the recently published guideline for medical case reports (the CARE Guidelines, covering diagnosis, treatment and outcomes) is not completely suitable for AAT. This study aimed at the development of a guideline for AAT case reports. The CARE Guidelines were adjusted following the recommended steps for health reporting guidelines. The proposed adjustments are based on AAT literature and expert opinions. The face validity of the new CARE-AAT Guideline was judged by an international group of 35 AATs and 3 experts on case study methodology. Seven items of the CARE Guidelines needed specification or addition. One item (Treatment Objectives and Plan) had to be added and six items could be used without change. The face validity of the new guideline is good. The CARE-AAT Guideline is suitable for scientific case reporting of AAT practice. It is assumed to be suitable for art therapy case reporting as well. Future use of the guideline will show whether further optimisation of the guideline is needed.
