To maintain and increase the number of blood donors, we introduced a new framework that focuses on service design, developed a blood donation promotion application, and constructed a donor support system. Considering the service design thinking, we were able to construct a donor support system based on the overall nature including stakeholders that could not be derived from the conventional planned behavior model. In addition, we conducted a survey on awareness concerning blood donation promotion application, and from the result / consideration, we were able to learn the problem of newly improving the public relations part of the application in order to connect the research result to the maintenance and increase of the number of blood donors.

This study considers the required capacity and education for the students who majoring in management information through describing the patent analysis of the company and the idea creation and prototypic implementation at classroom practice. This patent analysis of the company is a single case study of Hon Hai Precision which has received much attention in recent years. During the classroom practices, we put the idea creation called Idea Sketching into practice. Moreover, we practice prototypic implementation at the seminar which focusing on the knowledge based in the industrial technologies. In the light of the intellectual property strategies and the trend of information technology, we consider above and refer to the education which applied the practice of Exploration and Exploitation of knowledge to classroom. We insist that bringing up the person with talent on innovation is important for our countrys education system and then suggest the required capacity and education for the students who majoring in management information. Moreover, we discovered the new direction to connect the knowledge in practice and college education, and found out the useful insights for both industrial and educational world through the light of the intellectual property strategies in companies.

In recent years, we have developed various social support systems that promote civic participation, and we have also researched civic actions using such a support system. For example, we have developed a technology platform that promotes a hand hygiene or accurately implements cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or promotes civic participation in politics. These systems share one characteristic, a use of an information visualization technology like AR (Augmented Reality) or SNS. In this paper, we will focus on this information visualization and discuss civic activities and possible expectancies of the effects of these systems on civic activities as well as the development of a framework that promotes civic activities. We will also consider a practice of civic activities as social innovation and discuss the role and the process of social innovation. In the six stages of social innovation, we will particularly focus on the promoting process of social innovation actions for which we will focus on the support for the civic activities by the general public, not by the experts. We will discuss our views on the future of social innovation.

In recent years, systematic knowledge-creation is being watched in medical fields, and knowledge creation is successfully being adopted to improve clinical pathways and electronic medical charts. It is possible to provide more efficient and effective medical service with the sharing and use of information or knowledge in all medical organizations, though sometimes medical organizations may offer medical service that does not coincide with patient characteristics if the organization only pursues efficiency. In this study, it was hypothesized that Moshiokuri among nurses results in the generation of knowledge associated with patient characteristics. We examined knowledge creation among nurses by an in-depth analysis of Moshiokuri in hospitals equipped with clinical-pathways and electronic medical charts.

This paper presents an objective assessment method of image quality using visual evoked potentials (VEPs) to image engineer field based on multi-diseiplinarily approach such as knowledge of neurobiology, image recognition theory of computer vision. The multi-disciplinarily based objective assessment method applies Gaussian scale-space filtering in order to consist a scalar parameter to depict blur image. In experiment visual stimuli are provided the scalar parameter and subjects are detected VEPs. Their VEPs are recoded during observation of the checkerboard pattern reversal (PR) stimuli, and are analyzed latency of about Negative 145 msec (N145) component. The result of the experiment was that latency of N145 components were long about10-20 msec when parameters were large vale (more blur). This result shows one example of availableness for the multi-disciplinarily based objective assessment of image quality by integrating the pattern reversal visual evoked potential (PR-VEP) and the scale-space theory.
