In this article, a random number of datasets was generated from random samples of used GSM (Global Systems for Mobile Communications) recharge cards. Statistical analyses were performed to refine the raw data to random number datasets arranged in table. A detailed description of the method and relevant tests of randomness were also discussed.

This data article contains the partial analysis (descriptive statistics) of data obtained from 1770 primary school pupils and secondary school students in three Local Government Areas of Ogun State, Nigeria. The schools are either privately owned or public (government owned) schools. The aim of the field survey is to measure the level and patterns of externalizing behavior of the respondents. The data was collected using a standardized questionnaire. The questionnaire is a modification of Achenbach manual for Child behavior checklist (Achenbach, 2001) [1] and manual for Youth self-report (Achenbach and Rescorla, 2001) [2]. The questionnaire was designed to suit the demographic and socio-cultural nature of the target population. Analysis of the data can provide useful insights to the patterns of externalizing behavior of primary school pupils and secondary school students.

In this article, two sets of questionnaires were administered to professionals and clients (commercial banks) on their willingness to negotiate the professional fees charged by the Estate Valuers assuming that the mortgage in valuation was financed by bank loan. A range of fees options were provided. Other factors such as the business environment and mortgage valuation can influence the negotiated fees when the data obtained from the survey data is analyzed.

This data article contains the statistical analysis of the total, percentage and distribution of editorial board composition of 111 Hindawi journals indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) across the continents. The reliability of the data was shown using correlation, goodness-of-fit test, analysis of variance and statistical variability tests.

United Kingdom Lotto results are obtained from urn containing some numbers of which six winning numbers and one bonus are drawn at each draw event. There is always a need from prospective players for analysis that can aid them in increasing their chances of winning. In this paper, historical data of the United Kingdom Lotto results were grouped into two periods (19/11/1994–7/10/2015 and 10/10/2015–10/5/2017). The classification was as a result of increase of the lotto numbers from 49 to 59. Exploratory statistical and mathematical tools were used to obtain new patterns of winning numbers. The data can provide insights on the random nature and distribution of the winning numbers and help prospective players in increasing their chances of winning the lotto.

This data article contains the statistical analysis of Igbo personal names and a sample of randomly selected of such names. This was presented as the following: 1). A simple random sampling of some Igbo personal names and their respective gender associated with each name. 2). The distribution of the vowels, consonants and letters of alphabets of the personal names. 3). The distribution of name length. 4). The distribution of initial and terminal letters of Igbo personal names. The significance of the data was discussed.

This article presents the statistical analysis of the deposit activities in each of the account types of a leading bank in Nigeria. The mean effect of these account types on the bank was determined using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Further test which include the Tukeys simultaneous test for differences of means was also conducted.

The dataset for this article contains geostatistical analysis of heavy metals contamination from limestone samples collected from Ewekoro Formation in the eastern Dahomey basin, Ogun State Nigeria. The samples were manually collected and analysed using Microwave Plasma Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (MPAS). Analysis of the twenty different samples showed different levels of heavy metals concentration. The analysed nine elements are Arsenic, Mercury, Cadmium, Cobalt, Chromium, Nickel, Lead, Vanadium and Zinc. Descriptive statistics was used to explore the heavy metal concentrations individually. Pearson, Kendall tau and Spearman rho correlation coefficients was used to establish the relationships among the elements and the analysis of variance showed that there is a significant difference in the mean distribution of the heavy metals concentration within and between the groups of the 20 samples analysed. The dataset can provide insights into the health implications of the contaminants especially when the mean concentration levels of the heavy metals are compared with recommended regulatory limit concentration.

The data in this article was obtained from the algebraic and statistical analysis of the first 331 primitive Pythagorean triples. The ordered sample is a subset of the larger Pythagorean triples. A primitive Pythagorean triple consists of three integers a, b and c such that; [Formula: see text]. A primitive Pythagorean triple is one which the greatest common divisor (gcd), that is; [Formula: see text] or a, b and c are coprime, and pairwise coprime. The dataset describe the various algebraic and statistical manipulations of the integers a, b and c that constitute the primitive Pythagorean triples. The correlation between the integers at each analysis was included. The data analysis of the non-normal nature of the integers was also included in this article. The data is open to criticism, adaptation and detailed extended analysis.

In this paper, readings of solar radiation received at three meteorological sites in Nigeria were analysed. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistical test was carried out on the data set to observe the significant differences on radiations for each quarter of the specified years. The data were obtained in raw form from Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), Oshodi, Lagos. In order to get a clear description and visualization of the fluctuations of the radiation data, each year were considered independently, where it was discovered that for the 3rd quarter of each year, there is a great fall in the intensity of the solar radiation to as low as 73.27 (W/m2), 101.66 (W/m2), 158.51 (W/m2) for Ibadan, Port-Harcourt and Sokoto respectively. A detailed data description is available for the averages across months for each quarter. The data can provide insights on the health implications of exposure to solar radiation and the effect of solar radiation on climate change, food production, rainfall and flood patterns.
