A novel 10.3 Gbit/s LAN-PHY based burst-mode transmitter with a fast 6 ns turn-on/off time and a high launch power more than +3.3 dBm over the temperature range 0 to 70 degree-C was successfully demonstrated by using a new impedance-controlled DC-coupled burst-mode LD driver circuit.

We propose a scalable GE-PON over OCDMA system without sacrificing upstream bandwidth and experimentally demonstrate burst-data transmission of 2xGE-PON systems over 2timescodes using 10 Gbit/s capable 63-chip, 640 Gchip/s SSFBG en/decoder.

A new method to generate 3-level duobinary signal by adding two half-bitrate signals is proposed The generation function is examined with experiment and simulation. This method can also be applied to the return-to-zero signal format.
