Single carrier transmission with cyclic prefix (SC-CP or SC-FDE), has been adopted in wireless applications as an alternative technique to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In this paper, an improved decoding method for regular low density parity check (LDPC) codes is proposed to compensate for the loss in signal-to-noise (SNR) due to the CP insertion. According to our research, the algorithm to select suitable CP plays an important role in decoding. The performance of the uncoded case is well analyzed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is effective under both AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels.

Location-based services are applications that use information about where a communication device is located, which presents a major new market for the telecommunications industry. On the other hand, if such information falls into the wrong hands, an adversary has the potential to physically locate a person. To address the privacy issue, Qi proposed a special and feasible architecture, using blind signature to generate an authorized anonymous ID that replaces the real ID of a legitimate mobile device. The original purpose of Qis architecture is that eliminating the relationship of authorized anonymous ID and real ID. Unfortunately we prove that Qis registration and reconfusion protocol did not indeed work correctly. And then we propose a basic blind signature scheme, which be used to construct our improved registration and re-confusion protocol. Moreover we demonstrate that the administrator can learn no information on the legitimate users authorized anonymous ID and real ID.

Using a power line network as communication media to construct Smart Home System puts the burden on the communication system to ensure reliable communication within the constraints of the already existing protocols and devices. This paper presents the MAC frame structure which integrates all services in-home and satisfied the demand of system to transparently transport the data packets of existing applications. According to the feature of various types of applications we adopt different methods to improve the throughput of system and optimize the utilization of the PLC network. Analytical results are used to compare the performance of the proposed MAC frame scheme with other viable approaches. The results show that the proposed scheme is superior to these approaches.
