An automatic security test engine for IPv6 network

IPsec offers not only internet security service such as internet secure communication and authentication but also the safe key exchange and anti-replay attack mechanism. Recently IPsec has been implemented on the various operating systems in IPv6 Network. IPv6 is a new version of IPv4. But there is no existing tool that checks the servers, which provide IPsec services, work properly and provide their network security services well on IPv6 Network. In this paper, we design and implement an Automatic Security Test Engine for IPv6 Network. And we also design rule description language to define security evaluation rule. This system is operated on Windows and UNIX platform. We developed the system using Java and C language.

A protocol switching algorithm for developing network management application

We present a few quantitative performance evaluation models for the network performance of a network management application regarding three different communication paradigms: RPC (remote procedure call), mobile agent and locker pattern. Based on this model, we then propose a PS (protocol switching) algorithm that determines efficient interaction patterns from many paradigms for developing a network management application. We show that it can reduce overall network execution time by determining the best interaction patterns to perform network management operations by this algorithm. We believe that the model proposed here should help us to decide appropriate paradigms and interaction patterns for developing network management applications.
