Tetracyclic triterpenes and nerolidol derivatives from Santolina oblongifolia

J. de Pascual Teresa; I.S. Bellido; M.S. González; S. Vicente

Abstract Three new dammarane type triterpenes, six polyoxygenated nerolidol derivatives and one tricyclic sesquiterpene, named oblongifolidiol, were isolated from the hexane extract of Santolina oblongifolia. The assigned structures were based on their spectral properties and/or chemical correlations.

Nerolidol-5,8-oxides from the essential oil of santolina oblongifolia

J. de Pascual-T; S. Vicente; M.S. González; I.S. Bellido

Abstract From the essential oil of Santolina oblongifolia, three new dihydrofurane sesquiterpenoids, related to nerolidol, and a bicyclic sesquiterpene, named α-oplopenone, have been isolated. Their structures and stereochemistry have been assigned by spectroscopic methods.

Triterpenoids from Dittrichia viscosa

Manuel Grande; Pascual Torres; Francisco Piera; I.S. Bellido

Abstract A phytochemical study of the aerial parts of Dittrichia viscose resulted in the isolation of 10 triterpenoids as free alcohols, acetates or fatty esters. One of the esters, 3β-acetoxydammara-20,25-diene-24-ol, has been isolated for the first time as a natural compound. This substance, as well as the 20,23-diene-25-ol isomer, was synthesized by photooxidation of dammaradienyl acetate. Fatty esters of 2-(4′-hydroxyphenyl)-ethanol were also isolated.

Phytochemistry | 1982

Labdane diterpenoids from Cistus ladaniferus

J.-T. de Pascual; I.S. Bellido; Pilar Basabe; Isidro S. Marcos; I.F. Ruano; J.G. Urones

Abstract Three new diterpenic acids have been isolated from Cistus ladaniferus : 6,8(17) labdadien-15-oic, 7-oxo-8-labden-15-oic and 6β-acetoxy-7-oxo-8-labden-15-oic acids, beside labdanolic, 6-oxocativic,7α-hydroxy-8(17)-labden-15-oic, 8α-methoxy-labda-15-oic and 8α-hydroxy-13( E )-labden-15-oic acids.

Components from Santolina rosmarinifolia, subspecies rosmarinifolia and canescens

M.P. Maqua; A.C.G. Vines; Esther Caballero; Manuel Grande; Manuel Medarde; I.S. Bellido

Abstract Apart from other already known components, two-eudesmane-type alcohols, two coumarins and a new spiroketalenolether-type acetylene were isolated from S. rosmarinifolia , subspp. rosmarinifolia and canescens . The structures assigned were based on their spectral properties. The relative stereochemistries of the new acetylene at C-11 and that of the known spiranic acetylenes were assigned by NMR-NOE experiments.

Phytochemistry | 1981

Aromatic compounds from Artemisia campestris subsp. Glutinosa

J.-T. de Pascual; I.S. Bellido; M.S. González; M.R. Muriel; José María Hernández

Abstract From the weakly acid fraction of the hexane extract from Artemisia campestris subsp. glutinosa , five new aromatics have been isolated. They hav

Sesquiterpenic acids from Leucanthemopsis pulverulenta

J. de Pascual Teresa; M.A. Moreno Valle; M.S. González; I.S. Bellido

Abstract From Leucanthemopsis pulverulenta (Compositae) ten new sesquiterpenic acids have been isolated. Their structures and absolute stereochemistry were assigned by spectral and chemical evidence; they are the first carboxylic acid members of the cadinane and munrolane series to be found in a natural source.

Sesterterpene lactones from Salvia aethiopis: salviaethiopisolide and 13-epi-salviaethiopisolide

M.S. González; J.M. San Segundo; Manuel Grande; Manuel Medarde; I.S. Bellido

Abstract Two sesterterpene lactones and two tetranorlabdanes were isolated from the aerial parts of Salvia aethiopis . Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 2D-NMR experiments, and by the correct interpretation of several chemical transformations.

Phytochemistry | 1981

Phellandrene endoperoxides from the essential oil of Chenopodium multifidum

J. de Pascual-T; I.S. Bellido; C. Torres; B.A. Sastre; Manuel Grande

Abstract The essential oil of Chenopodium multifidum does not contain ascaridole, but does contain two isomeric endoperoxides related to α-phellandrene, besides other structurally and biogenetically related β-menthanic monoterpenes.

Tetrahedron | 1980

Chenopodiaceae components: polyoxigenated sesquiterpenes from chenopodium botrys

J. de Pascual-T; I.S. Bellido; M.S. González

Abstract Several new sesquiterpenes of eudesmane and guaiane types are isolated from the aereal parts of Chenopodium botrys. The structures were assigned by spectroscopic methods and confirmed by partial synthesis.
