A rectangular microstrip patch antenna with probe feed is proposed in this paper. The patch of an antenna has a key circular slot which is auxiliary truncated in circular style resulting three narrow bands of the most worthy and in-use wireless technologies of the modern age, that are GSM, Wi-Fi and WiMAX. The resonating bandwidths of the presented antenna ranges from 1.79 to 1.83 GHz for GSM 1800, 2.40 to 2.48 GHz for Wi-Fi and from 3.32 to 3.42 GHz used for WiMAX. The design process has been carried out in HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) and antenna is fabricated manually, to assess and evaluate the real characteristics.

The presented paper exhibits a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed symmetrical staircase shaped, planar monopole Ultra Wideband (UWB) antenna having dimensions 4030×l.6mm3 with 5GHz WLAN notch band characteristic. The staircase pattern in the radiating patch and the U-shaped slot resonator in the feed line are used to achieve the UWB and notch the 5GHz WLAN band, respectively. The proposed antenna has impedance bandwidth ranging from 2.84GHz-13.9GHz to cover UWB. Interference caused by WLAN band from 5.15GHz-5.35GHz and 5.725GHz-5.825GHz is notched effectively. The proposed antenna has been printed on FR4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6mm. Moreover, the fabricated prototype antenna shows a good agreement between the simulated and measured results.

This paper presents design procedure of a chebyshev multiband microstrip patch antenna. The multibands are achieved by the chebyshevs, introduced on the adjacent and opposite corners of rectangular patch. The bandwidth and frequency shifts are controlled by increasing the distance among the chebyshev from right side and the position of feed is also adjusted in order to compensate the remaining parameters. Moreover, the measured and simulated result confirms the capability of proposed antenna for GSM, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Marine Radar and for Fixed Radio Services.

A compact printed monopole antenna with tunable ground for adjustment of bandwidth is proposed. The achieved bandwidth is regulated by the length of ground plane. Presented antenna has five slits in its rectangular patch controlling the bandwidth and the frequency shifts. The simulated results are obtained using HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator). FR4 substrate of 30×24×1.6 mm3 is used for the fabrication. The measured results of prototype are acquired by network analyzer and anechoic chamber. The offered antenna is applicable for GSM (1800, 1900), UWB, UMTS (1900, 2100), Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Zig-bee, and Satellite Communication applications.

A MIMO antenna array has been presented in this paper, which has four rectangular microstrip patches as an antenna element(s). An elliptical slot is etched on every radiating patch. The antenna array is simulated in HFSS yielding resonating frequencies of 2.42, 3.49 and 4.98 GHz at S11 <; -10 dB making it applicable for WLANs. RT Duroid 5880 has been used as substrate. The gain ranges from 7 to 11 dB at all resonant frequencies with narrow bandwidth, improving interference rejection characteristics of the proposed antenna. Complete design procedure, comprehensive analysis of mutual coupling among the patches and radiation patterns are also discussed.

A tri-window printed monopole antenna with wideband characteristics is proposed in this paper. Compact size, uniform gain and stable radiation patterns at high frequencies make the proposed design a good candidate for its integration in portable communication devices. FR-4 with dielectric constant 4.4 and height 1.6mm has been used as substrate. Antenna having overall dimensions of 28.7 × 24.8 × 1.6 mm3 exhibits wideband characteristics ranging from 2.27 to 7.35 GHz at VSWR ≤ 2 applicable for WiBro (2.3-2.4 GHz), Bluetooth (2.4-2.484 GHz), Wi-Fi/WLAN/Hiper LAN/IEEE 802.11 2.4GHz (2412-2484 MHz), 3.6GHz (3657.5-3690.0MHz) and 4.9/5.0GHz (4915- 5825MHz, 5.15-5.35 GHz, 5.47-5.725 GHz), LTE band 7 (2.5- 2.69GHz), LTE band 22 (3.41-3.6 GHz) and WiMAX 2.3GHz (2.3-2.5GHz), 2.5GHz (2500-2690 MHz), 3.3GHz, 3.5GHz (3400- 3600MHz) and 5.8GHz (5.6-5.9GHz).
