The paper presents a mechatronics system used to recovering of the lost braking energy, which is made by a hydro-mechanic module, connected in a parallel with the existing thermo-mechanic driving system of the vehicle, the both representing a thermo-hydraulic hybrid driving system, for the motor vehicle, in order to capture and store the kinetic energy of vehicle in the braking phase. All the system is conceived like a mechatronics system for the medium and heavy motor vehicles and contains a hydro-mechanic subsystem, an electronic subsystem and an informational subsystem. There is presented a Romanian technical solution for a regenerative braking drive system, based on a hybrid solution containing a mechano-hydraulic module and an existing thermal motor drive system. The mechatronics system is suitable both for the new motor vehicle and, also, for the existing cars which can be upgraded in the rehabilitation phase.

The paper presents the results obtained following the theoretical research of one rotation mechanism, regarding the dynamic behavior for one modern transfer system, a manipulator or robot in cylindrical co-ordinates, which belongs to a molding technological module based on the hydraulic presses. Using the mathematical modeling and the computer simulation, we can know the dynamic behavior of the rotation mechanism. Analyzing the dynamic behavior, it can identify the parameters with sensitive behavior and, finally, it can optimize the dynamic regimes according to the real requests of driving, in order to satisfy the technological processes.

Improving the economy of the district heat operation requires a detailed analysis of the entire value chain starting at the heat generation plant, following the distribution network and ending with demand side. Extra efficiency can be achieved by replacing human work with remote monitoring via Internet or GSM communications and using networks of wireless sensors for collecting data. This procedure is called remote readout or Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Different sensors are deployed for measuring parameters (liquid flow, pressure and temperature) required by water and heat distribution. These sensors communicate each other with using IEEE 802.15.4 standard radio protocol forming together a wireless network. Presented paper focuses on design, implementation and testing of a system-on-chip based pressure sensor for monitoring of water quality in distribution points of district utilities

The paper describes a systematic approach regarding the development of a linear position and speed transducer used in hydraulic applications. The electronic module of the transducer is integrated into the LVDT sensor body, to obtain an assembly capable to operate into hydraulic specific environment conditions: vibrations, wide range of operating temperature and high humidity with condensation, significant mechanic and hydraulic shocks, important electromagnetic interference with the intense electric current circuits specific for hydraulic equipment a.o. To obtain the functioning and precision performances needed, it was assessed the use of a reduced number of small size electronic components. It was chosen an original solution for excitation and processing of the signal from the sensor that allows the direct connection of the sensor with the microcontroller used into the electronic module of the transducer. The power supply of the transducer was implemented throughout commutation (buck-converter) providing a superior efficiency and reducing the risk of overheating the electronic module by Joule effect. The performances determined by experiment confirms the designing data by meaning to obtain the position indication of 10000 of stabile divisions and the speed indication of 1000 stabile divisions; the process time of the electronic module is 40ms.

This paper presents a new constructive solution for the signal conditioner of piezoelectric sensors. Piezoelectric sensors have proven to be versatile tools for the measurement of various processes. They are used for quality assurance, process control and process development in many different industries. Such field is represented by the hydraulic powered actuators, where the system must be capable to work in severe exploiting conditions. The proposed signal conditioner includes a MCP602 operational amplifier made by Microchipreg. MCP602 has an input bias current of pA that allows direct connection between piezoelectric sensor and amplifier.

Industrial processes require today rigorous control of different parameters. Control systems became complex mechatronic systems with multiple sensors, data processing units and actuators. An important part of automated systems are electro-hydraulic, using hydraulic cylinders as actuators. A mechatronic device combines fine mechanics, electronics and information technology to achieve better performances with a lower cost. Almost any actual industrial system can be considered mechatronic system. At smaller scale, the subsystems of an industrial system incorporate now electronic modules so they are also mechatronic devices.

The large scale use of hydropneumatic equipments into fabrication process, combined with the production pursuit informational systems impose complex measurements of parameters must be transmitted to the informational systems. The integration of some mechatronic ensembles into the hydropneumatic equipments, ensembles which allow the measurement and the network transmission of the measurement results through the informational systems, makes an easy way for the production centers to informational improve their fabrication process whit all the benefits implied. The global evolution of embedded systems, combined whit new tips of sensors and measuring methods of hydropneumatic devices specific physic parameters, allows the tackle of those measuring mechatronic ensembles in partnership whit the European research centers that have the same goals in those fields.

The paper presents an electro-hydraulic linear actuator used at Tuzla Sea Survival School on the Cabin Emergency and Escape Trainer CEET B732 developed by author, which implements their research about electro-hydraulic system driven by common PLCs. This kind of control can be very easy to meet hydraulic process requirements, improve the system stability, reliability and automation level. Most of PLCs used on servo-hydraulic applications are dedicated DSP based. The actuator functionality was implemented as a software application using specialized PLC software tools - ladder diagram. The management of actuator moving scenarios is implemented in a database stored on PLC; for a moving scenario the successive position values, once per second, are recorded as a table in nonvolatile memory. The authors proposed solution and the experimental results validated that the approach is well fitted on fast processes like servo-hydraulics.

The electro-hydraulic actuation system was designed and realized by INOE 2000 - IHP for Regional Air Services - Tuzla Airport. It is used on the Cabin Emergency and Escape Trainer CEET B732 for the Sea Survival School. The closed loop control system controller, that implements the actuation system functionality, was designed as a software application using dedicated PLC software tools. Common PLCs are not usually used in this kind of applications; the authors work consisted on finding ways to use them on electro-hydraulic closed loop actuation system. Addressing emerging applications with general purpose PLC is the novelty of authors work and the experimental results confirm the rightness of this approach.

The paper presents the theoretical results of extensive research on the dynamic behavior of linear hydraulic motors, carried out in INOE 2000-IHP, in the framework of the NUCLEU Programmer. The research has been conducted both theoretically and experimentally, but, in this paper, is presented only the theoretical research. Theoretical research has taken place with the modern means of mathematical modeling and computer numerical simulation. The article presents some theoretical interested results obtained in the research, results that are of real scientific interest, but, also, with practical value through their use in the design of fluid power components and equipments.
