This work performs a quasi-systematic review in a structured way to identify, characterize and summarize the main evidence on Public ICT Governance in order to analyse the methods, techniques, models, framework, guides and / or Public ICT Governance good practice to describe its application in an IT environment, helping ICT managers through a secondary study. A research question was raised and an initial study of 4870 works was adopted. Among these, 21 were selected for the construction of this study through a characterization of three components (Leadership, Strategy and Control) which encompasses the dimensions that define the level of maturity of a public organization (iGovTI). In this analysis and characterization, it was identified that the methods techniques, models, framework, guides and/or good practice found were the most mentioned at the Academy, as COBIT, ITIL and CMMI, as also others who are not known.

Instructional Design (ID), essential in distance learning, is the planning and sequencing of activities in a course. The High Level Activities Net (HLAN) is a net structure for designing and controlling the learning process. From the net formed it is possible to monitor students in run-time and to obtain information that helps both the improvement of the Instructional Design and students learning by means of Learning Analytics. This paper briefly introduces the HLAN and presents an investigation with 17 classes of a distance course, with a total of 673 students. Based on the information obtained by means of Learning Analytics, we observed the relationship between the students performance (with respect to his/her scores), the identification of modules of the course that must be analyzed and adapted regarding the degree of quality and difficulty demanded, and also a weak relationship between the number of accesses to a course and the students performance.

Governance in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a relevant area of research and practice. The Audit Court of the Union (ACU) periodically evaluates all Brazilian Federal Public Organizations in order to disseminate the importance of implementing good governance system and raising awareness of positive contribution of adopting Good Practices. As a result of these evaluations, it is clear that evolution of ICT Governance in Federal Public Administration (FPA) in Brazil is growing slowly. The number of organizations that effectively adopt good governance practices is low when compared to all other FPAs. This article presents results of a survey conducted at Public Organizations that have improved capability (iGovTI) stages according to the ACU. The iGovTI is the index of governance in which the organization is inserted, it can be (initial, basic, intermediate and enhanced). Knowing this, this survey collected used practices and identifies the profiles of organizations and their interviewees. As main results, we recognize that the Good Practices used in Enhanced Organizations are the same known in academia as well as in industry (for instance, COBIT, ITIL, CMMI, MPS.Br, PMBOK). Another relevant result is the evidence that even Enhanced Organizations do not adopt practices in topics considered relevant, including project management, information security and risk management.

The quality of distance learning courses is determined by the proper organization of the teaching material and methodology. However, it should be taken into account, among other factors, the history of successes and failures of previous achievements of a course, as well as the profile of the new classes of students. This work proposes a data visualization model based on the Learning Analytics of a course, that allows the teacher to incorporate improvements in new editions of the course based on previous editions of the same. The model also applies to the monitoring the progress of the students at runtime of a course and identify possible problems in the instruction design, witch can be adapted dynamically.

The Educational Data Mining allows to identify and cluster students by certain characteristics that are specified through the needs and problems raised by the teachers and course coordinators. In this context, this research aims to apply data mining techniques for the identification of profiles and participation patterns of students in a course of higher distance course resulting in the prediction of the chances of each students approval. The result was the identification of 4 clusters that designate the profiles and types of participation of the students, namely: active, medium, inconstant and absent.
