Abstract The total and differential cross sections of the reactions K − n → Λπ − , K − n → Σ o π − and K − n → Σ − π o , as well as the Λ polarization in the first reaction, have been measured at an incident K − momentum of 3 GeV/ c .

Abstract The low energy I = 3 2 K π elastic-scattering cross section has been obtained from an analysis of the reaction K − n → pK − π − using the Chew-Low extrapolation method. For c.m. energies of the K π system between threshold and 1.2 GeV the cross section amounts on the average to ≈ 2 mb.

Abstract A systematic search for exotic states produced in K − d interactions at 3 GeV/ c is reported. From the analysis of the mass spectra of strange mesons, non-strange mesons, hyperons with S = −1 and S = −2, upper limits for the production cross sections of exotic resonances may be placed at one or two orders of magnitude smaller than for the production of normal resonances of same strangeness and baryon number.

Abstract The K − n → K − n elastic scattering angular distribution has been measured at the laboratory momentum of 3 GeV/ c in a deuterium bubble chamber. Using previously measured K − p → K − p and K − p → K 0 n data at the same energy, the elastic differential cross-sections for production of definite isospin states have been computed.

Abstract In an analysis of the reaction K − n →Λ4π at 3 GeV c we find evidence for the production of the B(1220) resonance, mainly decaying in ωπ. For the mass and width we find (1236 ± 15) MeV c 2 and (132±20) MeV c 2 respectively. The cross section for the reaction K−n→Λ+B(1220) is found to be (102±26)μb.

Abstract We present evidence showing that the ηππ and ϱγ enhancements near 960 MeV both have I = 0. thus supporting the current hypothesis that they are due to a single resonance η ′ and excluding their association with the I = 1 resonance δ (963).

Differential cross sections are presented for the reactions K−p → Λω, K−p → Λϕ, K−n → Σ−ω and K−N → Σ−ϕ at 3 GeV/c incident momentum. Significant backward peaks are observed in the reactions giving ω-meson production in contrast to the reactions with ϕ-meson production. The assumption that the backward peaks observed are due to nucleon exchange leads to a ratio of the coupling constants gΣNK2/gΛNK2 which is in disagreement with the prediction of SU(6) for this ratio.
