The area of security affects the entire life cycle of the machine from design, manufacturing, installation, adjustment, maintenance all the way to its disposal. Clearly, the longest as well as the most dangerous stage of the machine, is its own operation and maintenance. At this stage it is necessary to assess the risks associated with its use and possess the documentation so as to use the machine safely. These materials are the basic documentation, which is the subject of familiarization and practical training of the employees rather than immediate use of the machine. This article describes the risk analysis of the machinery and its application to risk management particularly the process of training and educating the employees.

Education of employees is an ongoing process in which adaptation and changes in working behavior, level of knowledge, skills and employee motivation occur through the use of diferent strategies, styles and methods. The result is a reduction in the differences between the current competencies of employees and the requirements imposed on them by employers, respectively between the requirements of the labor market and their competitiveness. The process of learning in the professional practice involves identification of educational requirements, learning objectives, education planning, selection of appropriate educational institution, the very implementation of education, and evaluation of the educational effectiveness of staff and organization. On the basis of theoretical assumptions we have conducted a study aimed to analyze the lifelong learning on a representative sample of organizations in professional technical practice in Slovakia in relation to the recommendations of the European Union and the Government of Slovak Republic. The research was aimed to determine how, at what level, and by what means Slovak universities participate in lifelong learning in manufacturing organizations. In the research we focused on the relationship of production organizations and employees to further education and self-education in the phase of their career development and career promotion.

The use of experiments in the education students of technical disciplines gain the necessary knowledge and skills for controlling technical equipment. Such experiments can be carried out in education directly or through remote means of so-called remote real experiments. The report presents two possible ways of using electro panel in education through remote and direct exercises on the subject called Parts of machines and machines. The students have an available e-learning course for preparation for the direct work with the electro-pneumatic panels. Experiences and results from the use of this course are summarized in this report. As a research method to verify the knowledge from the usage of the course an electronic test was used, which results are prepared by descriptive statistic.

Experimental data reveal that dry filters utilizing filter papers tend to change their operational characteristics whilst in service. When the airflow stream in the filter is constant, the pressure losses, and hence energy losses, will increase. On the other hand, when a constant pressure head is maintained to induce the flow, the flow rate of the flowing medium will decrease. A possible solution is a filter made from several filtering layers, their density varying along the dusted air flow path. Basing on the theory of filtration, the density of filter layers shall be chosen such that the amount of particulate matter settling on individual filter layers should be identical. The paper summaries the results of experimental testing of five-layered filters. Of particular interest is the distribution of collected dust mass along the airflow path in the filter in relation to the layer density.
