SummaryThree cases of serous tuberculous meningitis in adult patients with active pleuro-pulmonary tuberculosis are reported. In two of them tubercle bacilli were found on direct smear of spinal fluid.Several similar cases were previously described in the literature. The pathogenesis is briefly discussed. In the first stages the diagnostic may be very difficult, but the chemistry of spinal fluid could be of some help.Severe pronostic in the future allowed discussion of opportunity of streptomycin treatment.

SummaryTo restore impaired carbohydrate metabolism, sympathicomimetic amines may be used in view of two purposes : either to raise glycemia or to oppose circulatory collapse. To avoid, in case of hypoglycemic coma the administration of substance unnecessarily hypertensive and in case of diabetic coma the administration of drugs dangerously increasing glycemia, we studied the effect of 17 sympathicomimetic amines on the glycemia of man in correlation with arterial pressure.Among these substances, we found two, the hypertensive and hyperglycemic properties of which are definitely dissociated, namely : Stryphnon, which increases glycemia without being hypertensive, and is therefore appropriate in hypoglycemic coma ; Veritol, frequently lowering glycemia ; owing to its reliable effect on blood pressure, valuable as efficaciously opposing collapse in diabetic coma.

SummaryReferring to a case where a woman suddenly showed flaccid legs paralysis, possible relations between vertebral angioma and hematomyelia are discussed. According to a hypothesis brought forward by the author, in the metamere corresponding to the injured vertebra, the blood vessels of the anterior cells of the marrow be angiomatous ; this condition rending them more fragile, would account for their breaking consequently to an even slight effort. Moreover, the referred patient presents following peculiarities : a limited cutaneous angioma within the same metaniere and some congenital injuries suggesting a constitutional origin of these anomalies.
