BUSINESS DECISION MAKING IN CONTEMPORARY ORGANISATIONS

Investment decision making indicates owners and managers commitment to growth and development of the companies. The nature of the investment decision is complicated, because it must be integrated latest information from external and internal environments including information about real capacities and capabilities. The long-term nature of decisions on investment activities need adequate capital budgeting, which is based on the selection of the optimal sources of financing. Based on assessment of the firm value of the company to decide whether to join an investment or not.

Information technologies in knowledge economy

Abstract This paper analyses the importance of information and communication technologies in knowledge management and the impact on the increase of competitive advantage of organizations of their independent neighbouring countries. Comparative analysis has been conducted for the Republic of Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The data of the World Economic Forum concerning the use of information technologies served as the baseline for this study. Moreover, the data from job advertisements announced by employers in these three countries during the period March-May 2013 have been experimentally analyzed. The results show that the application of information technologies is almost the same in all three countries, amounting to approximately 65%.

Contemporary Approach to Education in Organizations

In order to successfully meet the requirements of the knowledge-based economy, organizations turn more and more to the knowledge they possess, its application at the right time and in the right way, and all that with the aim to improve their business processes, achieve efficiency and quality in business and customer satisfaction. The topic of this research are organizations that strive for change and that rely on their knowledge and skills in order to become competitive, fast, and innovative, to create efficient knowledge to maximize their success, respond to the challenges of the knowledge-based economy and transform into a knowledgebased organization.
