The autonomous vehicle valet parking service (AVP) enables a vehicle to drive and park without any human interaction. The driverless vehicle has to follow the scheduled route and be parked in a parking lot automatically. Most fundamental technologies for autonomous vehicle valet parking service are controlling vehicle driving and parking. For autonomous driving, the path to near goal parking lot has to be generated and control commands to follow the path have to be generated continuously. For autonomous parking, the controlling vehicle steer value has to be found to park the vehicle at a parking lot well. We have used two turning radius circles to find vehicle steering control value about perpendicular and parallel parking method basically. These two vehicle turning radius circles are minimum radius circles in initial and are updated in real time as vehicle stop location in parking mode. In this paper, we have developed the control system for autonomous vehicle valet parking service in parking area with low speed limited.

This paper introduces an Intelligent Parking platform for a neighborhood electric vehicle in intelligent multimedia service environment that automatically maneuvering from a traffic lane to the designated spot guided by roadside servers and mobile device. Three challenging problems are considered: one is to consider both low-speed forward driving and several parking maneuvers at the same time with a few in-vehicle sensors and the second one is to control the various sizes and types of passengers vehicles. And the last one is localization and tracking based on video sequences. With the assumptions of low speed and well installed roadside sensors, the platform to deal with two types of parking missions is proposed in this paper. We conduct a feasibility test for verification of our proposed architecture, and we suggest a possible approach to car-sharing service that autonomous mobility vehicle can drive and valet-charge within the limited area in intelligent multimedia service environment.

The autonomous driving technology is a vehicle technology which drives automatically to the target destination without human intervention. The traditional autonomous driving technology has been developed using vehicle which has equipped with expensive devices. To control the vehicle movement precisely, the GPS/RTK positioning devices have been used and to recognize the spatial obstacles, the laser scanner and vision sensors have been used. Recently, new technologies have been developed to lower the cost to commercialize the autonomous driving. In this paper, the core technology which is positioning of the unmanned vehicle are developed using infra-based sensors and we have estimated the accuracy of recognized location of controlled vehicle by experimenting in real test-bed area.

We propose the guidance information protocol to provide the real-time decision support system to drivers or pedestrians using personal ITS station. The reference architecture provides a general structure for the real-time decision support system and the method of message exchange between the personal ITS station and the roadside ITS station. The proposed method is a flexible application protocol for safety warning and parking guidance services. This protocol makes the client part independent of use cases for supporting light-weighted devices. We aim to design the protocol to be flexible for accommodating various use-cases as well as suitable for being implemented on light-weighted personal devices.
