In this paper, according to the analysis of existing transmission matrices of quasi-orthogonal space-time block codes (STBC), we generalize some of their characters and derive several new patterns to enrich the family of quasi-orthogonal STBC.

One-dimensional and two-dimensional fast algorithms for realizing the block inverse jacket transform with size of N=2k and 3 k are proposed. The fast algorithms are based on sparse matrix factorization of the block inverse jacket matrix and recursive form of the Kronecker products of identity matrices and successively lower-order block inverse jacket matrices

This paper addresses the full-duplex relaying. Some expressions for outage and average capacity of a two-hop cooperative system with a full-duplex relay are derived under an independent but not identically distributed Rayleigh fading environment. Using these expressions, we provide the performance analysis without Monte Carlo simulations. The impact of interference between the relay output and input is investigated. Copyright

Semialgebraic low-density parity-check (SA-LDPC) codes are proposed for the multilevel coded modulation system. We optimize code parameters of LDPC codes according to the rate of each level by Gaussian approximation. Iterative multistage decoding (IMSD) scheme is adopted to get the significant improvement. System performance with Ungerboeck partitioning (UP) and mixed partitioning (MP) for 8PSK is evaluated respectively over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels. Many results are presented, they indicate that in terms of the tradeoff between hardware complexity and system performance, constructed multilevel coded modulation system based on optimized LDPC codes, capacity rule and MP is a good choice for the bandwidth efficient transmission over AWGN channels.

We describe the extended Hadamard matrices named Jacket in terms of combinatorial designs, and show that the center weighted Jacket matrices belong to a class of cocyclic matrices. Additionally, a simple public key exchange system on cocylcic Jacket matrices is proposed.

We propose a suitable indoor ultra wideband (UWB) multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) channel system to obtain cooperative diversity for the high data short range transmission. There are three situations, the first is inner room UWB networking with four transmit antennas; the second is outer room UWB networking with four transmit antennas; the last one is a mobile station from outer room to the inner room which uses eight transmit antennas. In our proposals, the coordinate interleaved space time block codes are used with UWB signals. The theoretic upper bound and simulations demonstrate that the proposed algorithm could simply achieve the diversity gain from the rich scattering propagation environment and correlated channel.

This paper presents a high rate space time coded OFDM system for short range personal networking. The system uses ultra wideband (UWB) propagation to transmit MIMO space time coded signals with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). It can achieve good detection by integrating several pulses and high throughput by transmitting space time coded frequencies in parallel. The capacity of transmission is increased without paying more power. Also provide an analysis and design of the MIMO system in a multipath fading environment and illustrate its performance in different parameters.

Delay/disruption tolerant networking (DTN) is considered one of the most suitable technologies for implementing a space system of systems (SoS) internetworking architecture. Aggregation of multiple DTN bundles within a data transport block, which was proposed to resist space channel asymmetry, has been a controversy for years. In this paper, an experimental investigation of whether or not the aggregation of multiple DTN bundles within a single data transport block has performance advantage is presented. The investigation focuses on a space SoS internetworking scenario characterized by an asymmetric data rate. A model is developed for the minimum number of data bundles that should be aggregated within a Licklider transmission protocol block to avoid delay of acknowledgment transmission caused by channel asymmetry in the space SoS internetworking system.

We address a new representation of DCT/DFT matrices via one hybrid architecture. Based on a element inverse matrix factorization algorithm, we show that the DCT and DFT have a same recursive computational pattern, and we can develop an hybrid architecture by using some diagonal matrices
