According to enquiry-based learning theory and experiences in teaching Electric Circuits course, this paper presents a problem-based teaching model designed for transient response of dynamic circuits. Guided by some questions designed by teachers, students go through three processes: enquiry-based teaching and learning, problem-based simulation, and enquiry-based seminar. The knowledge of dynamic circuits is taught, and the circumstance of scientific enquiry is also set up to help students’ research. It is proved that the model can help students to understand knowledge much better, and it can also develop their ability of self-exploration.

This paper reports experimental studies on the discharge modes with AC/DC and DC power sources and different electrode configurations. Very uniform streamer coronas can be generated by using AC/DC source. The energy cost for NO oxidation in air is about 30 eV/NO.

Using the SABER simulation software, this paper is focused on the effect of the input voltage on the motors energy loss and power factor in 3-phase AC voltage regulation circuit, which is regulated by the control angle of the SCR. Simulation and experiment results are given. It is proved that using this simple voltage regulation circuit can adjust the motors terminal voltage, satisfy the requirement of soft-starting, and simultaneously save energy by using a proper algorithm (constant power factor algorithm to control the firing angle of SCR)

In this paper, a vector control strategy of the doubly fed induction generator using rotor EMF-oriented position sensorless scheme is proposed. Compared with the other position sensorless schemes, the proposed control method only uses the rotor voltage and current as the feedback signals, which substantially reduces the costs and enhances the reliability of the control of the generator. The finite impulse response filter (FIR) is used in the rotor EMF orientation. Simulation shows good response of the system. Experiments based on a 3 kW unit demonstrate the correctness and availability of the scheme
