The performance of hybrid active power filter (HAPF) with different components and parameters is analyzed, a multi-objective optimization algorithm based on improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed. To reduce the influence of engineering experiences and redundant constraints, a unified description of performance for HAPF is proposed on the basis of theoretical analysis, and redundant constraints are removed from the optimization algorithm; To avoid premature of PSO algorithm, non-linear time-varying parameters are introduced, and a new global optimal particle selection operator is employed to improve solution diversity. The experimental results show that the proposed optimal design of main circuit for HAPF is of correctness and effectiveness.

In this paper, a proportional sinusoidal signal integrator (P-SSI) of the current compensation control strategy for Active Power Filter(APF) is proposed. Since harmonic current of power system are mostly (6k±1) orders with (k=1,2,3...) , reference current generator based on adaptive cancelling algorithm with LMS method is designed, and two orders of positive sequence and negative sequence harmonic current can be tracked with only one of the proposed controller. To reduce the amount of calculation, the compound P-SSI current control strategy has been presented in the rotating coordinate system. In order to test the compensation effect of the control strategy under different load conditions, the nonlinear three-phase rectifier load is employed, and loads with the inductors and capacitors are analyzed respectively. Simulation results verify the feasibility and correctness of the proposed current control strategy.

In this paper, we address the local minima problem (LMP) inherent in potential field methods (PFMs). The related potential fields are built from electronic image processing of autonomous mechanical vehicles. The LMP is formulated and its existence is analyzed. A switching control strategy is then proposed to tackle this mechanical engineering problem. When trapped into local minima, the autonomous mechanical vehicle can escape from local minima by following the planned goal. The proposed control law also takes into account the presence of possible mechanical saturation constraints. Simulation results of escaping from classical local minima scenarios are provided to show the validity and effectiveness.

In this paper, the model of experiment system for single-phase single-stage photovoltaic (PV) inverter is analyzed, and a novel Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method based on extremum seeking algorithm is established to satisfy the specific requirement of this topology. Experimental results demonstrate that the single-phase single-stage photovoltaic inverter with this proposed MPPT method can avoid the employment of extra external disturbance signal, and track the maximum power point quickly and precisely.
