Corrosion resistance of water-thinnable paint systems.

Jiří Votava

Anticorrosion protection on the basis of water-thinnable paint systems belongs among one of ecological ways of protection of metal parts. The aim of the experiment was to test corrosion resistance of water-thinnable systems Eternal antikor special V9503 and Colorlak aquarex V2115 in the salt spray environment according to the norm CSN ISO 9227. Ductility of used paint systems in complience with the norm CSN EN ISO 1520 will be also tested, it is a test according to Erichsen. At the end of the experiment measurement, the corrosion speed depending on paint coating thickness was analyzed.

Rheological behaviour of egg white and egg yolk from different poultry specimen

Vojtěch Kumbár; Jiří Votava; Jaroslav Buchar

The main goal of this study is differences in rheological behaviour of hen (ISA BROWN), goose (Anser anser f. domestica) and Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) egg white and egg yolk. The rheological behaviour of egg white and egg yolk was studied using a concentric cylinder viscometer. Rheological behaviour was pseudoplastic and flow curves were fitted by the Herschel–Bulkley model and Ostwald–de Waele model with high values of coeficients of determination R2. The meaning of rheological parameters on friction factors during flow of egg white and egg yolk in real tube has been shown. Preliminary information on time–dependent behaviour of tested liquids has been also obtained.

Abrasive resistance of filler metals in laboratory conditions.

Tomáš Pauliček; Jiří Votava; Martin Kotus

Wear of selected surfacing welded materials at the tribological test in laboratory conditions is deal with in this contribution. Filler metal is evaluated according to its weight loss, relative wear resistance and hardness. Tested materials show higher abrasive resistance and they are suitable into the conditions with intensive wear.
