JOGOS DE GÊNERO EM PEQUIM 2008: REPRESENTAÇÕES DE FEMINILIDADES E MASCULINIDADES (RE)PRODUZIDAS PELO SITE TERRA

Based on the post-structuralism perspective, more speci?cally, on the theoretical ?eld of Gender Studies and Cultural Studies, the purpose of this article is to analyse the gender representations that were produced and reproduced by Terra website about athletes that participated in the Beijing Olympic Games. All text and images published in the sections “Last News” and “Photos” during the seventeen days of the competition were collected. The empirical sources consisted of sports news and images and was analysed using the Foucalt´s analyses of discourse. Based on the analysis, it was possible to realize that Terra website has shown different masculinities and femininities which generated a “gender game” in which different ways of being an athlete were represented.

ESEF 65 anos: entre memórias e histórias

Esse texto faz parte do projeto de pesquisa intitulado “Garimpando Memorias” desenvolvido pela equipe do Centro de Memoria do Esporte da ESEFUFRGS. Atraves da perspectiva teorico-metodologica da historia oral objetiva narrar alguns fragmentos da historia dos 65 anos da Escola de Educacao Fisica, completados no mes de maio de 2005. Para tanto foram realizadas 48 entrevistas com professores, servidores tecnicos- administrativos e academicos que ainda estao atuando na Escola ou que ja fizeram parte de seus quadros. Ao privilegiar a memoria dos entrevistados esse texto se constroi nao como uma historia oficial da instituicao mas, fundamentalmente, como o relato de algumas memorias que, agrupadas em temas, explicitam um pouco da vida da ESEF desde sua criacao ate os dias atuais.

FRAGMENTOS DA HISTÓRIA DA GINÁSTICA RÍTMICA NO RIO GRANDE DO SUL: AS PRIMEIRAS PROFESSORAS E SUAS MEMÓRIAS

A Ginastica Ritmica vem sendo desenvolvida no Brasil desde 1953 e no Rio Grande do Sul desde o inicio da decada de 1970. Considerando os poucos registros sobre a historia da modalidade, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo descrever seus primordios a partir da memoria de quatro professoras identificadas como pioneiras no trabalho com esta modalidade neste Estado. Fundamentada no aporte teorico-metodologico da Historia Oral, foram realizadas entrevistas e, dos seus dialogos com outras fontes de pesquisa, identificamos nao apenas a atuacao das professoras mas sobretudo as estrategias adotadas para a divulgacao e legitimacao desta pratica nas escolas de ensino fundamental e cursos de formacao de profissionais de Educacao Fisica.

ESEF 70 anos: o processo de federalização sob o olhar discente

Este artigo analisa o processo de federalizacao da Escola de Educacao Fisica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul sob o olhar dos discentes que se graduaram em 1970 na primeira turma formada sob o regime federal de ensino. Fundamentada no aporte teorico da Historia Cultural analisamos aspectos relacionados ao envolvimento politico dos alunos nesse processo bem como aspectos relacionados a estrutura e funcionamento da Escola como um todo. Para tanto, recorremos a Historia Oral entrevistando discentes e docentes do periodo bem como analisamos fontes de diversa natureza tais como documentos, atas de reunioes, livros, reportagens de jornal, fotografia entre outras. Da analise realizada apreendemos que esta turma vivenciou a federalizacao de modo muito peculiar: por dentro do processo, mas, em certa medida, muito afastada dele.
