Die Vorhersage des Verbrauchs fur die gesamte Fahrzeugflotte ist eine entscheidende Herausforderung fur alle Automobilhersteller. In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich die Gesamtfahrzeugsimulation zu einem wesentlichen Werkzeug fur die prazise Prognose der Effizienz von verbrauchssenkenden Ma:sBnahmen bei BMW entwickelt. In Kooperation mit Tesis Dynaware entstand eine effiziente, verlassliche Simulationsumgebung, mit der die Komplexitat des Einzelfahrzeuges und die Variantenvielfalt beherrscht werden konnen.

Entire vehicle simulation in the product development

BMW has developed an entire vehicle simulation model in cooperation with Tesis Dynaware to understand and improve energy flows in the vehicle. A model structure has been derived from this objective and implemented in a suitable simulation environment. The modular structure of the vehicle model makes it easy to implement subsystems with different levels of detail. Examples show the possibilities that the model offers in preliminary and series development.

Fuel Economy Simulation for the Vehicle Fleet

Forecasting the fuel consumption of an entire vehicle fleet has become a crucial challenge for all car manufacturers. Over the past few years, simulation of the entire vehicle has become an essential means of making precise predictions of the effectiveness of fuel economy measures at BMW. An effective, reliable simulation framework has been developed in cooperation with Tesis Dynaware to master both the complexity of a single vehicle and the large number of vehicle variants.
