Ecologia na formação do profissional de saúde: promoção do exercício da cidadania e reflexão crítica comprometida com a existência

ABSTRACT Based on a literature review, this paper invites the reader to reflect on the importance of ecological issues as part of undergraduate training in health. Key aspects include a review of Agenda 21 and the interac-tions between industrial processes, consumption, technological innovations, and degradation of health and the environment. The central proposal in this discussion is sensitization to incorporate the debate on the relationship between the environment and health into the curriculum in various health courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Such reflections in the academic sphere are potential ways to foster responsibility by future health professionals in their exercise of citizenship, highlighting current and future commitment to life and the living conditions and quality of life for individuals, society, and the planet. Deu ciência na costura: Modelo celular didático artesanal

O ensino de ciencias, em especial de biologia, aborda assuntos que carregam em si um contexto muito abstrato, o que torna o processo de aprendizagem dificultado, ja que grande parte dos estudantes nao tem acesso diretamente a alguns contextos disciplinares. A utilizacao de recursos didaticos bem como a explanacao do contexto historico da ciencia sao ferramentas que podem contribuir para a contextualizacao e para aprendizagem do aluno. Neste artigo apresenta-se a citologia por um vies historico, e a criacao e construcao de um modelo didatico que destaca as caracteristicas da celula para auxiliar o professor no ensino de citologia para alunos com diferentes necessidades especiais, destacando a especificidades dos deficientes visuais. A contextualizacao e os recursos didaticos associados tornam possivel que o aprendizado possa ser mais atrativo ao aluno, e consequentemente contribua para a aprendizagem.

Digital Magazine as Technological Resource for the Education of Biochemist in the Basic Education

Biochemistry is a field of the Natural Sciences that, on Basic school levels, deals with subjects related to Science; such as Biology and Chemistry, explaining in many ways the biological phenomena that happen in the living systems. However, students find it difficult to understand the biochemical concepts. To meet this challenge, teachers should look for course material that is appropriate to these students who are immersed in a technological world. Thus, this present work shows a Biochemistry digital magazine as a proposal to help the teaching-learning process and its evaluation by teachers who are part of the public school in the Rio de Janeiro state.

Análise de rótulos de produtos domissanitários como forma de discutir a química no cotidiano dos estudantes

Abstract Chemistry is present in the daily students’ life through the use of products at home, such as household cleaning products. Still, it is hard for students to perceive it vividly in their lives, because within syllabi, chemistry is reduced to formulas, names and reactions, opening a gap between school knowledge and their reality. That is why this work describes a demo-investigative activity, conducting analysis of household cleaning product labels, with the goal of helping the student to reaffirm and / or reframe their knowledge about them and their relation to safety, health, environment, science and technology. Conducted in two schools with very different economic realities, there were perceived similarities in the perception of the students and teacher’s ability to act as mediator between school knowledge and students’ knowledge so they reframe chemistry in their own lives.
