A escuta participante como procedimento de pesquisa do sagrado enunciante

Deepening the analysis of Freuds social texts, we discover that, instead of mere psychoanalytic applications to the collective, they are prolongations of metapsychological boundaries, clinically relevant and, taken separately, accentuated poverty while psycho-social constructs. This result must be understood as a preamble to the continuation of the critic in a complementary direction: the rescue of the inherently social dimension presents in psychoanalytical concepts, just in appearance exclusively linked with clinical or metapsychological features. Doing it opens the perspective of developing a socially interventive psychoanalysis, without decrease of precision. The axis that enables it is linked with the concept of self, no more confused with the single person neither centered in the I. Trance, so present at ecstatic Brazilian cults, constitute an opportunity to verify this hypothesis. At trance, the Other enunciates itself in first person and its semiotic nature, far from excluding its psychic dimension, includes it, constituting a secure platform for a public and social approaching of the unconscious.

Estrela que vem do Norte: os baianos na umbanda de São Paulo

Os baianos da umbanda compoem uma categoria de espiritos associada a personagens tipicamente nordestinos. Este estudo visou caracterizar a categoria espiritual baiano na umbanda do Sudeste e desvendar como o panteao incorpora vivencias humanas e tipos sociais. Recorreu-se a analise da literatura, observacao participante e entrevistas com mediuns em transe. Colaboraram mediuns e dirigentes de terreiros do estado de Sao Paulo. Para a analise dos dados utilizou-se o conceito psicanalitico de significante. As narrativas dos baianos revelaram justaposicoes com aspectos da cultura nordestina, sugerindo que ha uma transmutacao de cenas regionais em metonimias e metaforas que se recombinam de modo a nao haver uma reflexao imediata de tipos socialmente dados. Esses significantes materializam-se nos rituais, mas tambem em narrativas ricas em oximoros, de modo a possibilitar a expressao do contraditorio e a proporcionar simbolos religiosos nos quais o humano, paradoxal e conflituoso, possa se reconhecer.

Transtornos da compulsão alimentar periódica e psicoterapia: é possível sistematizar a formulação psicodinâmica de caso?

The Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) method establishes psychotherapeutic guidelines for a patients relational patterns. The CCRT was used in the analysis of narratives coming from psychodynamic psychotherapy sessions (taped and transcribed) from a patient suffering from Binge Eating Episodes. A imaginação do outro: intersecções entre psicanálise e hierologia

Neste artigo comparam-se as contribuicoes para o estudo do imaginario e da alteridade de dois pensadores franceses, proximos pela epoca em que viveram e pela influencia da fenomenologia em suas obras: o psicanalista Jacques Lacan e o filosofo e islamologo Henry Corbin. O objetivo e contribuir para o desenvolvimento de um modo de investigacao psicologica do imaginario religioso, que evite o reducionismo. Conclui-se que, na medida em que a vivencia do sagrado se mostra indissociavel de uma revelacao do sujeito que a experimenta, o modo proprio do acontecer religioso convida a uma escuta do seu sentido numa perspectiva psicologica.

Inscrições do feminino: literatura romântica e transe de caboclas na umbanda

As far as the Afro-Brazilian religious context is concerned, some researchers consider the caboclo the result of a process in which the negro, trying to assure a collocation in the country after slavery being extinct, nationalize some African habits in order to turn themselves into what they imagine being an Indian might be, based on the Indian image expressed by the romantic literature. This article discusses the relevance of this argument by investigating the presence of the spiritual entity female representatives through a comparison between them and the idealized image of romantic Indians. It is stated that to understand the female caboclos role in the umbanda cult as well as in contemporary womens lives it will be necessary to listen to these women by means of their spiritualistic mediums relating what they say to these womens life stories and to the actual social experience of the communities in which the entity is worshiped.

A criança celestial: perambulações entre aruanda e o inconsciente coletivo

Considering that Umbanda religion expresses and elucidates Afro-Brazilian psychological ethnotheories, the aim of this research was eliciting the meanings connected to its concept of infant by investigating one of its pantheon main characters, the spirits of children. Jungian psychology was taken as reference not only for a contrast effect but also to facilitate Umbanda concepts organization. Both participant observation and interviews with worshippers and mediums in trance receiving childrens spirits were performed. It was shown that these spirits reveal themselves by using mainly non-verbal ways of communication. As far as meaning is concerned, drawing the puer archetype near childrens spiritual manifestation in Umbanda deserves careful approach, and assimilating these children into the archetype can only be performed by the superposition of a psychic concept on a diverse ethnotheory.

Odé Erê: Diálogos entre Psicología, Cultura y Educación en una comunidad quilombola del interior de Bahía

Social Psychology seeks to comprehend the interaction between individuals and society so as not to reduce it to a dichotomous perspective. This text narrates the experience in what remains of a quilombo community in the interior of Bahia. A dialogue is also proposed between Culture, Education and Psychology based on a case study from the analysis of records consigned in the field journal in three different contexts: the transdisciplinary meetings with the professionals involved in the project; the socio-dramatic groups formed by the artistic educator of the community and the individual care of a child by an ethno-psychologist. Psychoanalytic operators were used heuristically as a starting point for the analysis. It was found that it is important to propose a model of intervention in community psychology that is not reduced to clinical and individual treatment regarding purportedly exclusively psychological issues. The contents that emerged from individual care were elaborated and re-signified in the group socio-dramatic care and vice versa. This experience steers the discussion about the importance of considering that wounds and traumas do not belong just to an individual but rather are created from a common symbolic and cultural heritage.

Psicologia da religião e da espiritualidade no Brasil por um enfoque etnopsicológico

A pesquisa etnopsicologica pode ser util para descobrir e mapear interseccoes e distincoes do emprego de categorias analiticas como “religiao” e “espiritualidade” e traz a luz a multiplicidade de concepcoes e vivencias de espiritualidade e de religiao vigentes em epocas e sociedades distintas. Neste artigo defende-se a combinacao entre pesquisa etnopsicologica e o estudo cientifico das religioes e das espiritualidades e a precedencia da primeira sobre o segundo. O argumento e ilustrado mediante alguns exemplos de resultados de pesquisa obtidos no Brasil e parte do pressuposto de que a religiao, pelo menos de um ponto de vista psicologico, nao pode ser estudada independentemente dos sujeitos humanos que lhe dao suporte.

O método psicanalítico aplicado à pesquisa social: a estrutura moebiana da alteridade na possessão

Aiming to explore application possibilities of the psychoanalytical method farther than the clinical practice, this work proposes a Lacanian topological interpretation of the possession phenomenon in Umbanda. The subject is sought beyond the individual psychism in a way that the subjective space continually comprehends the identities transition occurred in the mediums body. This idea is sustained by the conception that the interpretative system (that organizes the relationship between the world of the spirits and the world of the livings) and the subject coexist in the same structure. Therefore, it starts from the concept of significant, as it is capable of creating a net of meanings according to the effect of an unconscious saying. Through a case study, it is shown how the subject, concomitantly supposed agent and effect of the significant combinatory, is presented in the possession as medium and as possessor spirits, which constitute the front side and the verso side of a unilateral structure.Resumo Tendo por finalidade explorar possibilidades de aplicação do método psicanalítico além da prática clínica, este trabalho propõe uma interpretação topológica lacaniana do fenômeno da possessão na umbanda. Visa-se apreender o sujeito para além do psiquismo individual, de forma que o espaço subjetivo compreenda – continuamente – a transição de identidades ocorrida no corpo do médium. Isso se sustenta pela concepção de que o sistema interpretativo (que organiza a relação entre o mundo dos espíritos e o mundo dos vivos) e o sujeito coexistem em uma mesma estrutura. Para tanto, parte-se do conceito de significante, por ele ser capaz de criar uma rede de sentidos em função do efeito de um dizer inconsciente. Mediante um estudo de caso, mostra-se como, na possessão, o sujeito – concomitantemente suposto agente e efeito da combinatória significante – apresenta-se tanto como médium quanto como espíritos possuidores, os quais constituem o avesso e o direito de uma estrutura unilateral.
