In the past, accident research concentrated on head-on and side crashes. Thanks to the success achieved by occupant protection systems in these accident scenarios, the rollover situation has now entered more into the awareness of car manufacturers, system suppliers and also the public. Autoliv has developed the Advanced Rollover System by Autoliv (AROSA), which triggers protective elements such as headbags, sidebags at thorax level or belt pretensioners at the optimum moment depending on the situation.
