La búsqueda de la realidad o de la verdad: una aproximación a partir de la teoría sociológica

The aim of this article is to think the relationship between the search for reality or the truth with methodology, by asking some questions to different theoretical perspectives and by analyzing different answers given by the authors and theories. From the sociological theoretical perspective, it deals with two levels of thought with methodological implications. The first refers to the methodological implications arising from the search for reality or truth. The second, epistemological, refers to the theoretical and paradigmatic duality between subjective capacity decisions against the constriction of the subjects by the structures.

A Defensoria Pública do estado do Pará: uma observação sistêmica da capacidade institucional

Este trabalho mostra os resultados de uma observacao empirica nos Nucleos da Defensoria da Regiao Metropolitana de Belem e nos Nucleos dos municipios de Maraba e Santarem, no Para. Com algumas modificacoes, inspira-se na ideia de sistemas autorreferenciais proposta por Niklas Luhmann. A observacao de primeiro grau operacionalizada a partir de questionarios tem por objetivo analisar a capacidade institucional-administrativa da Defensoria Publica, partindo de um esquema formado pela convergencia de diversos conceitos teoricos para a observacao e compreensao das organizacoes publicas. A observacao de segundo grau e operacionalizada a partir de entrevistas semiestruturadas.

A teoria neosistêmica de Niklas Luhmann e a noção de autopoiese comunicativa nos estudos organizacionais

In recent years, scholars from post-structuralist social philosophy have debated aspects related to self-referential possibilities of communication and language. Nowadays, there are several theoretical viewpoints converging at a constructivist, systemic and ecological self-definition. The idea of communicative autopoiesis is proposed in this article as a possible alternative to the autopoietic limitations in observing organizations.The analysis of organizations stands out in Niklas Luhmann’s theory of self-referential systems. However, this analysis has been subject of controversies. In recent years, a dialogue and an exchange of opinions with representatives of poststructuralist social philosophy have been in place, particularly regarding self-referential possibilities of communication and language. Currently there are several theoretical viewpoints converging to a constructivist, ecological and systemic self-definition. As an alternative to the autopoietic limitations in the observation of organizations, this article proposes the idea of reflexive autopoiesis.

Administración pública local y construcción de la central hidroeléctrica en la Amazonia

We report the results of an exploratory observation in which the functional impacts on the administrative system as a result of the construction of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant (CHB) in the municipality of Altamira (Brazils eastern Amazon) are analyzed. In the theoretical and conceptual perspective of social systems theory Niklas Luhmann, we made an observation of the local administrative system on its operations and functions, based on four preset codes: decision making contingency symbolic significance of the project and planning. The findings provide a glimpse into a conceptual flattened the usefulness of systemic concepts of Luhmann, and the empirical, a reactive planning and municipal public administration.

Teoría de la Decisión: Proceso de interacciones u organizaciones como sistemas de decisiones

Se expone un debate teorico sobre la aportacion sociologica referente a las decisiones en las organizaciones. Sobresalen dos teorias de las decisiones. La primera, basada en el proceso de decision a partir una teoria critica de la multirracionalidad lineal elaborado por Lucien Sfez, al plantear que con la decision se trata de un proceso de interacciones, al ser considerada como un proceso institucional fundamentado en la libertad del sujeto. La segunda fundamentada en la teoria de sistemas autorreferenciales, interpreta las organizaciones como sistemas de decisiones y entiende el concepto de decision en su especificidad puramente epistemologica, al abstraer de la decision de todos los elementos y variables organizacionales relacionados con ella (Niklas Luhmann).
