Abstract This is a report on the synthesis and on the storage of D-glyceraldehyde acetonide for as long as three years after initial preparation while retaining its enantiomeric purity.

Reversal of resistance in multidrug resistance protein (MRP1)-overexpressing cells by LY329146.

The benzothiophene LY329146 reverses the drug resistance phenotype in multidrug resistance protein (MRP1)-overexpressing cells when dosed in combination with MRP1-associated oncolytics doxorubicin and vincristine. Additionally, LY329146 inhibited MRP1-mediated uptake of the MRP1 substrate LTC4 into membrane vesicles prepared from MRP1-overexpressing cells.

Stereoselective synthesis of novel methylene ether dipeptide isosteres

Abstract We have developed a versatile new synthesis of the Ψ[CH 2 O] pseudopeptides from N -protected 5-substituted morpholin-3-ones. This approach focuses on a stereoselective alkylation of the morpholin-3-ones. The resulting alkylation products were used in the synthesis of some previously unavailable Ψ[CH 2 O] dipeptides.
